5 Video Games with the Worst Glitches Ever

Video game glitches are part of the general experience. We all find ourselves happily playing a game when something strange and unexpected happens. Often we will find ourselves falling down a pit that wasn't there or walking through a solid object. These are mostly humorous more than anything else, but sometimes they can be annoying too. Here are a list of five games with some funny or frustrating glitches.

Assassin's Creed

In this video game, you control Altair, a skilled assassin who goes around huge interactive areas killing people and bouncing off walls and ledges. All of this action makes for a great game, but unfortunately these huge areas are sometimes filled with glitch land-mines.

1. In one glitch in the last stage of the game, you are riding your horse when suddenly the way is blocked and you fall through the forest floor randomly. Then you die in video game limbo. When you reload from the last save point, there are two Altairs standing where one usually is. You control both of them simultaneously and one is mounted on the horse. Curious!

2. Another funny glitch involving the horse is sometimes when you dismount you find yourself sideways on the ground still in a seated position. Then the characters legs started to roll up slowly. Finally the glitch fixes itself and he jumps up into a normal standing position.

3. The most common glitch with Assassin's Creed is the mysterious holes that appear in areas. Many players will be walking through a solid looking walkway and suddenly find themselves falling into a white abyss.

Red Dead Redemption

In this game by Rockstar, you play as an outlaw in the old west trying to help the law by collecting all of your previous comrades in exchange for your wife's safe return. There are a lot of great areas in this game, but the larger a game is, the more glitches it tends to have.

1. Teleportation - Go to Thieves' Landing online with a friend. Go to the teleportation area and open the menu by pressing Y and facing towards the canoes. Then have your online friend push you towards the water. You'll find that you can teleport anywhere once you reach the water--it will toggle between all the different places.

2. Horse Dummy - First get you and an online friend together. Then ride towards your friend on a horse and jump right before you get to your friend. Your friend then presses Y to knock you off your horse and immediately gets on the horse himself. This will allow you to both get on the same horse and your friend will become invisible inside your character.

3. Barrier Breaker - This glitch lets you go through walls and mountains. You can use this to explore areas that are locked even. All you have to do is put a stage coach up against the wall in question and then shoot both of the horses. After they are dead, the person inside the stage coach will get out and find himself inside the building or mountain that he was just against.

Halo 3

This popular first person shooter for the xbox has a plot following interplanetary warfare. It has a number of great levels and weapons, but also a few fun glitches.

1. Atomic Grenades - These grenades are more powerful than others and will destroy virtually everyone on the map. This cheat can only be done on Valhalla. Have the connection host be the monitor and have him do the EXO arm glitch with a shotgun or sniper. Then have the monitor hold the right trigger and the human arms will explode. Have the monitor turn into a human and then back into a monitor. Then drop a rocket and have a human pick it up. Now have him shoot a shot out. Now use a grenade and you'll find that it somehow destroys just about everyone on the map.

2. Butterfly - Grab a battle rifle and then fire it once. Press the RB (right bumper) button and then the melee button back and forth. Do this underneath and enemy and they should start to float up like a butterfly. Keep doing it and they will continue to float without any damage being done to them.

3. Invisible Gun - Play multiplayer with a friend. While you are playing, unplug your batteries holder. Have the other player press Y and your gun will disappear instead of being swapped for another one.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

In this military style third person shooter, gamers fight one another online using a variety of real-life military weapons. Like all games, though, there are some glitches.

1. Boomerang Knife - Take out an air strike, hit "B" and then wait a second, then open your equipment. Now when you throw your equipment or your knife, they seem to boomerang back to you. The laptop you really get back, but the knife is actually gone though it seems to be back.

2. Bouncing - Jump on top of a player who is climbing and you will bounce up sometimes. A fun little glitch.

3. Floating Glitch - On Favela go to the Big Building next to the barber shop. Once you get on top of the building you will need to have Marathon and Lightweight. You will see a grey vent. Run and jump on this Vent. Once you get on top of the vent, aim your gun at the barber shop sign. Next, crouch and stand until you float up into the air.

Resident Evil 5

1. Inside Turret - Simply walk towards the turret and keep pushing forward at different angles. Eventually you'll find a way through and he'll walk through it like it doesn't even exist. Creepy.

2. Barrier Breaking - In Chapter 6-1, you can walk through the steel transport looking crates near the old tire. Just walk towards them at an angle. This is a pretty obvious glitch--it's not hard to figure it out on accident.

3. Duplication - Get two controllers and a secondary gamertag. Once you have chosen what chapter you want to begin on, have only the items you wish to duplicate. (guns/treasure cannot be duped) Once you have them in Chris's useable inventory start the game. Then sign in with the second account and press start in-game to allow the second player to enter. You will start the mission over again. Give the items you want to duplicate to Sheva (must be in-game) then quit and save both profiles. Once your back in the mission press start and Sheva should have the items in her inventory. Use the second controller to give Chris the items. Once done press start then quit. Save only Chris's Inventory. When asking for second players save answer "no." This duplicates your items for you.
