5 Ways Ashton Kutcher Could Be Written into 'Two and a Half' Men

Ashton Kutcher is reportedly set to be Charlie Sheen's replacement in "Two and a Half Men," however it's kind of hard to imagine how he's going to be written into the show (after all, Charlie Harper was the show). If fans are going to buy Kutcher filling Charlie's shoes, the writers better come up with something good. And if they can't come up with anything good, here are a few wild ways to introduce Ashton's new character:

Punk'ng the Fans

Ashton could star as the host of a "Punk'd"-style show (definitely not a stretch) that plays a prank-gone-wrong on one of the actors in a TV show that Charlie was working on a theme song for. Unfortunately Charlie ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time; gets killed as a result of the practical joke; and a distraught, guilt-ridden Ashton decides to try to comfort Alan by vowing to make it up to him.

Ashton Bags Another Cougar

Charlie could get killed when his house catches fire, and Alan, with nowhere else to go, is forced to move in with his mother and her much-younger boyfriend.

Flash Forward

Ashton could actually turn out to be Alan's son Jake all grown up and doing his best to live the life that his Uncle Charlie once did.

Long-Lost Brother

Charlie could die of a drug overdose, prompting his mother to reveal a secret to Alan that she regretted not telling Charlie -- she hid a pregnancy from them when they were younger, and the two have a long-lost half-brother. Of course Alan sets out to find him, and he ends up being a slacker who moves into Charlie's house with Alan.

Alan's New Roomie

The house fire/death premise would also need to come into play here, after which Alan is forced to find a new roommate. Unfortunately, the only place he can afford is a party boy's bachelor pad.

So will Ashton Kutcher be a good fit for "Two and a Half Men"? While it's not hard to imagine him living a lifestyle similar to Charlie's, hopefully the writers make his character different enough that he doesn't feel like some kind of cheap replacement. And if it doesn't work out, Charlie Sheen is going to have a field day when the show ends up getting cancelled.
