Luckily, many small yet very effective things can be done, not done, or changed to help one with relieving themselves of much stress which helps with a healthier, happier, and more satisfying life.
1. Organization. Plan a schedule for your every day to-do-lists. From grocery shopping to feeding the pets, try and include everything that needs to get done in this list. When doing so, include and let it be known to every member of the house what the plan is. This will help in making all the plans run smoothly.
2. Break down a larger task into a step by step process. Large and daunting plans like cleaning the garage or preparing a garden are often dreaded. Just thinking about them can be stressful, let alone the actual work. So arrange such tasks in step by step stages in order to not become overwhelmed and frustrated with what all needs to be done.
3. Two birds with one stone. Try to combine as many errands into one as possible. Arrange your commuting plans prior to embarking on them in a way in which you can make the most out of your trips. This will save you money by cutting down on gas as well as the stress that can be caused by a lot of time spent traveling and in traffic.
4. Over predict time. Setting aside more than enough time for each individual task is a highly suggested idea. This will ensure that you will be punctual and where you need to be when you need to be there. It also creates the possibility for you to accomplish tasks sooner than planned. Again, achieving the goal of less stress and more satisfaction.
5. Pick Meaningful and Benefiting Entertainment. In other words, don't poison your ears with a guy talking attempting to be funny while playing a song once every 45 minutes. Why not listen to something you actually enjoy. Music can in itself can be a stress relief but also can cut down on the stress level while driving. If there is nothing in particular you would like to listen to, find a fitting educational radio channel. Having something for your mind to ponder on will keep the focus off all that need to be done.
The overall idea that you will achieve with cutting down on stress is feeling comfortable with having control of you life. Once that is accomplished, countless possibilities of spending time with loved ones and relaxing come to play.
