Although people oftentimes eat bananas simply alone, as their yellow jacket makes them easy to take along for a snack throughout the day, there are a number of other ways to eat this delicious, creamy fruit. Bananas, which are rich in potassium, as well as a number of other nutrients, including vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin C, dietary fiber, and manganese. Eating a banana alone is great for quick, nutritious snack, however these other 5 ways to eat bananas will surely delight your taste buds, too.

1. Banana Smoothie. Bananas are one of the most common fruits in smoothies. Often paired with strawberries or other berries, making a smoothie is one of the best ways to eat bananas, and the fact that it compliments many other fruits makes the combination options endless. Smoothies are also a great, quick meal when you need to eat on the go, as they can easily be transported when in a rush.

2. Banana and Peanut Butter Sandwich. Most people enjoy eating a banana with peanut butter as a snack, but when you mix together peanut butter and sliced or mashed banana between slices of bread, it makes an awesome sandwich for either breakfast or lunchtime. You can even grill the sandwich for added texture and warmth, and you can also add honey or cinnamon, as well.

3. Oatmeal or Cereal with Banana. Oatmeal and cereal are many people's go to breakfast food, and bananas up the delicious factor in either of these grain dishes, as well as the nutritiousness. Along with banana, you can also add nuts, other fruits, such as berries, maple syrup, or brown sugar to make this great way to eat bananas even better.

4. Banana Bread or Muffins. Some wholesome, delicious, baked banana foods include banana bread and muffins, which are easy to make with a simple recipe. Feel free to try out other delicious variations of banana bread or muffins, which you can enjoy any time of day or night.

5. Banana Pancakes or Waffles. Bananas make an awesome topping for either pancakes or waffles, or cooked within pancakes. Some other awesomely scrumptious additions for these popular breakfast dishes include pecans, walnuts, strawberries, chocolate chips, blueberries, and maple syrup.
