Blueberries are a delicious, versatile fruit that ranges in flavors, and is known for having a high concentrate of healthy antioxidants. Some being tangy and others quite sweet, blueberries add a distinct flavor to many dishes. Along with being loaded with antioxidant phytonutrients, tasty blueberries are also rich in vitamin C, manganese, dietary fiber, and vitamin E, as well. To reap all of the benefits of blueberries, try out these 5 mouthwatering ways to eat blueberries:

1. In Pancakes or Waffles. Everyone has heard of blueberry pancakes and waffles, as they're one of the most popular accompaniments to the sweet breakfast treat. To make this dish even more scrumptious, consider adding more ingredients, as well, such as strawberries, bananas, or chocolate chips. You can also heat up some blueberries to make a compote to top your pancakes or waffles for an even sweeter treat.

2. On a Salad. Salads are one of the most versatile meal options as the number of ingredients you can mix into them is endless. One of the yummiest ways to eat blueberries in a salad is by combining them with pecans and red onions and a citrus vinaigrette over a bed of healthy spinach or baby greens. You can also add mandarin oranges, strawberries, or other delectable fruits, if you desire.

3. In a Yogurt Parfait. Blueberries are one of the prime choices of fruit to add to a yogurt parfait. You can either use plain, vanilla, blueberry or other fruit flavored yogurt to make this healthy treat. Layer your yogurt of choice, blueberries, and any other berries or fruits you like, in a clear glass dish, and top with crunchy granola for added texture and nutrition to create this delightfully sweet, yet healthy dish you can eat any time of day.

4. Blueberry Juice. If you prefer to get your servings of fruit by way of juice instead, you can easily find blueberry juice at your local grocery store or supermarket, or better yet, make your own. Blueberry juice, store bought or homemade, is one of the easiest and quickest ways to eat blueberries (well, drink them). You can also find mixtures of blueberry juice with other fruit juices or make your own with a combination of other healthy berries.

5. Blueberry Muffins. One of the most popular ways to eat blueberries for breakfast, a sweet snack, or dessert is to eat them in a muffin. There are innumerable blueberry muffin recipes to choose from, or you can easily find blueberry muffins at your local bakery or grocery store.
