Delicious Ways to Eat Your Favorite Fruit

Sweet and fragrant strawberries are many people's favorite fruit, and they're also incredibly healthy, as they are incredibly high in vitamin C and contain high amounts of other essential nutrients, including manganese, dietary fiber, iodine, and potassium. Many people enjoy simply eating washed strawberries from the stem, often growing them in their garden. However, there are a number of other appetizing ways to eat these delicious berries, so here are 5 ways to eat strawberries more often:

1. In a greens salad. Various fruits compliment a variety of salads very well. Strawberries go especially well with other fruits in salads, as well as nuts, and vegetables. One of my favorite ways to eat strawberries in a salad is to mix together fresh spinach with sliced strawberries, mandarin oranges, pecans, red onion, and a citrus dressing. However, the ways to eat strawberries in greens salads is endless, so feel free to get creative and try a variety of healthy, delicious salads with strawberries.

2. In oatmeal or cereal. Oatmeal and cereal are popular breakfast choices for many people, and a great way to get more nutrients in your morning meal, as well as add additional flavor and texture is to add strawberries. Along with strawberries, you can also add other berries, such as blueberries or raspberries, or nuts, like pecans.

3. With pancakes or waffles. Another incredibly popular morning dish is pancakes or waffles, both of which strawberries compliment well. You can also add other ingredients, like with oatmeal or cereal. You can cook the strawberries within pancakes, as well. This works great in combination with bananas. Another way to top your waffles or pancakes with strawberries is to create a strawberry syrup from your berries, to add additional sweetness to your breakfast.

4. In a fruit salad. One of the most popular ways to eat strawberries is to eat them within a fruit salad, and this is also one of the most versatile, as you can combine any varieties of fruits, whether it just be berries, or with the addition of citrus, tropical, or other kind of fruits. Fruit salad makes an excellent accompaniment to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or a scrumptious, healthy snack on its own.

5. In a smoothie. Smoothies are essential for many people who often have to eat on the go, and a great ingredient to add to one is strawberries. A simple strawberry banana smoothie is often a go to smoothie, yet there are many other ways to eat strawberries in smoothies when you combine them with other fruits.
