Many are aware of how wonderful yoga is, and with all of the benefits obtained from it, it can be somewhat addicting. Some say it improves their health, personality, and mentality, but did you know it can also improve your sex life? Once you know the various ways yoga can jump-start your sex life - from improved orgasms to increased confidence - you may be inspired to take it up as soon as possible.
Your flexibility improves
Your body feels amazing after doing yoga for awhile. Your flexibility improves and you're able to move in ways you were never able to before. You'll be able to try new positions and improve on the ones you've already done that previously felt uncomfortable. It'll give you an excuse to whip out the Kama Sutra book.
It alleviates PMS symptoms
I don't know about you, but I don't feel remotely sexy when I'm PMSing, which means I'm not exactly thrilled about taking my clothes off. There are quite a few yoga poses that help combat the bloating and sluggish feeling that accompanies PMS. Sex even feels better because yoga also helps ease muscle tension. You'll likely feel more inclined to be up to having sex rather than say no because you feel like hell. It's all about finding poses that work for you. For me, the Shoulder Stand Pose, Knee-to-ear pose, and Plough Pose are three yoga poses that never fail to make me feel better.
It decreases fatigue and stress
Chances are you're not amped for sex when you're feeling stressed and tired. One of the greatest things about yoga is that it helps decrease your stress levels and increase your energy levels. After yoga, you'll be less inclined to say "Hun I'm tired not tonight" or "I'm stressed; I'm just not in the mood."
Yoga helps increase confidence
Yoga can help improve your muscle tone, flexibility and mentality as well as combat weight gain, all of which play a role in helping to increase your confidence levels. Having confidence is undoubtedly one of the most important ways to improve your sex life. You're more inclined to feel comfortable with your body, so rather than worry if your stretch marks are showing or you're not doing something right, you're too busy engrossed in enjoying yourself to pay attention to anything negative.
Improve your orgasms
Yoga can help intensify your orgasms by strengthening your pelvic muscles. Certain poses, such as the Bound Angle Pose, can also help improve circulation and blood flow to that area and, in turn, improve arousal. If there's anything that helps improve sex and encourage repeat performances, it's improved orgasms.
The best part about improving your sex life with yoga is that it doesn't require pills, doctor's visits, or doing something difficult in order to get the advantages. Even if you've never done a yoga pose in your life, there are beginner poses to try first and work your way up as your body adjusts to it and you feel more comfortable.
