You cannot escape T-Rex! The little woman in the fourth panel has been trying for years. T-Rex and his friends Utahraptor, Dromiceiomimus, and occasionally God and the Devil discuss philosophic paradoxes, time travel, and, often, Batman. You just never know! Add in Ryan North's unique writing style and "easter eggs" in every comic and you have the number one geek water cooler webcomic of all time!

2.) Penny Arcade

Penny Arcade is more than a webcomic, it is a slice of gaming lifestyle. Luckily for everyone else, it is still hilarious even if you aren't the sort to wait at the mall for the midnight release of the latest Call of Duty. Gabe and Tycho have a unique view on the world and the geekiness it encompasses. The accompanying blog is one the THE go-to sources for video game and industry news, reviews, and commentary.

3.) Questionable Content

An ongoing ensemble sitcom about a group of post-college 20-somethings with weird jobs, weird relationships, and weird talking anthropomorphic computer sidekicks. The evolving cast is so well written, you feel like you know every one of the characters. Didn't you have comp lit with Marigold? Dora used to be the loud one in your Women's Studies, class, didn't she? Although poignant at times (because of the relationships and stuff) this comic never fails to deliver a punchline.

4.) XKCD

http://xkcd.com

What does XKCD stand for? Why is Black Hat so bad and so good at what he does? Since when do stick figures qualify as a comic? This last, at least, can be answered. When Randall Munroe is at the helm. You don't have to have a degree in physics to enjoy this comic, but it helps. Wikipedia must love this guy for all the traffic he generates with one hilarious comic that you have to know the technical terminology to get. Or maybe just a Star Wars reference. Either way, this one is a classic and at the top of every geek's RSS feed.

5.) A Softer World

Not exactly a webcomic, A Softer World surprises you every time. Sometimes an exercise in dark humor, sometimes a thoughtful meditation on mortality, and sometimes a pie to the face, this strip always makes you think. Anyone who looks at the world askew or from a unique perspective can appreciate it.
