5 Worst Foods for Your Teeth

BS
Everyone wants to have a great smile and in order to have a great smile, you also have to have great teeth. Teeth are very important not just because of looks, but because of all the other ways they help your body, like enabling you to chew your food. Going to the dentist is usually not a pleasant experience for most, and that's why a lot of people avoid it as much as they can. The best way to avoid an unpleasant experience at the dentist is to take care of your teeth. We all know that candy is bad for your teeth, but what else is bad for your teeth?

Raisins
Most people are surprised when they learn that raisins are bad for your teeth, but it's the truth. They assume that because they are dried grapes, they are healthy, but for that exact reason, they are not. When the grapes are left to dry, the sugar builds up and the texture becomes gummy. When you put this in your mouth, all the sugar sticks to your teeth, and everyone knows that's not good.

Lemons
Lemons are very acidic and that's not good for your teeth. Other things that are acidic such as tomatoes and orange juice are also bad for your teeth. They wear down the enamel of your teeth, which can become painful over time. Lemons probably won't do much damage to your teeth every once in a while, but if you do happen to have foods that are very acidic, brush your teeth afterward.

Soda
Most sodas have a high sugar content and that's definitely bad for your teeth. Although, when it comes to being bad for your teeth, soda is actually one of the best of the worst because you drink it and it doesn't stay in your mouth for very long.

White Bread
When you start to chew white bread, the sugar and the carbs in it break down and actually end up making white bread acidic. It can also be very sticky and get stuck between your teeth or on your teeth very easily. White bread can be hard for people who dislike wheat, or any other options, to sacrifice, but it really would be best for your teeth if you did.

Gummy and Hard Candy
It is widely known that candy is not good for your teeth, and that's because of all the sugar. Gummy candy sticks to your teeth and hard candy stays in your mouth longer which also means that your teeth will come into contact with a lot of sugar. It's hard to get kids to stay away from candy, and it's okay to have every once in a while, but make sure that you stay away from too much candy if you want healthy teeth.
