50 Million Pound Challenge to Help You Lose Weight

Rosa Hayes
The 50 million pound challenge is all about joining a group of people that want to be healthier for themselves and for those around them. The 50 million pound challenge provides tips to help you accomplish your weight goals and to succeed and getting into shape. I noted a small paragraph on the 50 million pound challenge website that stated that this is not about just losing weight, but about everyone coming together to help each other work to take control of their lives, as stated on the 50 million pound challenge website.

What you should know about weight loss

Weight loss is not just about losing weight; it is about losing it and keeping it off, which I am sure that you have heard a million times before. If you seen my picture you probably wouldn't think that I was an overweight child. Actually to be more correct, I was obese throughout most of my childhood up until I became a teenager. I can tell you things about being an obese child that would probably make you cry. Losing weight in my own personal opinion is about making you feel good in more ways than one.

Why I like the 50 million pound challenge

I remember when I was a child and went to church one day to find my pastor saying that we all needed to fast since we were getting overweight. I kept wondering why a pastor would say such a thing when fasting is supposed to be about your religion and not your appearance. Well, that pastor was later charged with lewd molestation toward a minor, but that is another story all on its own. I like the idea of the 50 million pound challenge because it doesn't call you out by name and you can be anonymous or you can proudly state that you are part of a challenge to get us all back in shape.

What if I don't need to lose weight?

If you are already at your weight loss goal or if you have never been overweight, you can still help out by being a motivational speaker for everyone. If you can offer any advice to someone to get them into shape, then by all means speak up. I use to get mad at other kids when I would hear them saying things about me like calling me fat. And now that I am an adult I have learned that it is a two way street since now I have people making comments about me being skinny. I am actually on the lower percentile of my age and height group, this does not mean that I am underweight but instead I am at the exact weight that I should be.

Tips on helping you to lose weight

The 50 million pound challenge is about helping you to lose weight so that you will feel good about yourself. I offer many tips in a lot of my articles here on Associated Content to help you to lose weight or to get into shape. I have pretty much made it a part of my life to help others succeed in areas that I have succeeded in.

The overweight statistics

We must face it that America is now called Fat America and this is a sad part of our nation but we can overcome this just like anything else. Statistics shows that out of every three people at least two of them are considered overweight or obese and the statistics behind children is that 17% are obese. My family statistics are even worse than that of America's statistics; about half of my family on my dad's side is considered obese and about one in every three people are obese on my mother's side. My family statistics shows me that I am actually at a higher percentage for being obese so now I watch what I eat and I exercise about three to four days. The 50 million pound challenge has actually helped me to understand more about others who are dealing with some of the things that I have went through.

If you are overweight, obese, or just looking to help someone then the 50 million pound challenge is for you. Take a look at the 50 million pound challenge and see what you can offer or what they can offer you.
