$50 Spa Treatments in Los Angeles and Nationwide During Spa Week

Don Simkovich
$ 50 spa treatments are available in Los Angeles at participating spas for spa-goers during Spa Week September 14 to September 20. There are 40 spas total taking part plus additional spas in San Diego and San Francisco.
Spa Week, a concept developed by Cheryl Reid, introduces "a new generation of consumers to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to open up the spa industry to the masses. Spa Week's goal is to make 'wellness' more than just a word but to make it a reality."

The elite services available for $50 include: the Ten Hands Massage which is simultaneously performed by five therapists; the 14 Carat Gold Facial; and the Caviar Facial. Also accessible for only $50 each are medical treatments like Botox injections, Diamond-tip Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels.

Spa Week is in its 11th season. The promotional event is held two times per year in the spring and fall.
During September 14 to September 20 spa-goers can find bargains in Arizona, Los Angeles, Nevada, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle.

During October 12-18 participating locations are: Denver, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Boston, Detroit, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Virginia Beach and Toronto, Canada.

Spa Week has positioned the time as necessary for relieving stress during financially difficult times. Rather than see spas as luxurious and an optional luxury, the industry is positioning the spa as a necessity and benefit.

For those interested in booking a spa treatment, go to www.spaweek.com. Sign up as a member - it's free - and then find the participating locations. It's possible to link directly to the spa and make a reservation.

The web site has contests and giveaways. Spa testimonials also indicate that not only did they receive new customers during the discount week, but that referrals taking place after generated additional revenue.
Red Door spas reported 5,000 guests during the week at 30 locations nationwide while a local spa in Los Angeles, Vida Emanual European Day Spa, had 150 new clients with additional business that came via referrals that originated during the week.

To serve customers more effectively and to set themselves apart from competitors, spas are offering specific types of treatments.

In an article on stylelist.com, writer Diane Davis mentions how specific spas will provide treatments for toes and sinuses. In Anchorage, Alaska, visitors to the Ice Spa at the new Sheraton can receive a "glacial facial" made with Arctic mud.

Spa goers have many options to receive quality treatments at affordable prices.

Just make sure you time the visit with Spa Week! Also, if you have a beard that may limit the positive impact of facials!
