Attitude is a choice. When it comes to our birthdays, everyone faces them in a different way. Some of us decide that it's just a birthday and really don't give much thought to it. Others will take the day and reflect what the past year has meant to them. Still others try to forget the upcoming day, and feel like it is a sort of curse or punishment.

Depending on how you feel about your 50th birthday, or maybe you are not there yet, I have compiled a list of 50 tips that will allow you to see that our attitude is a huge factor in everything we do. With that in mind, read this list and you will most likely decide to copy it off and paste it on your bathroom mirror, because these tips are very doable and woman friendly!

1. Keep a positive outlook, FOR EVERYTHING.
2. Keep learning, stay informed, READ.
3. Opt for a new hairstyle, if you are thinking of hair color, what better time than now?
4. Take care of yourself---a simple walking program can be easy to do and how long has it been since that annual checkup?
5. Try to meet new people, either at work or in your neighborhood.
6. Take a class for that hobby you have always been interested in.
7. Don't settle for unhappiness.
8. Clean out your closet, donate those items to a thrift store or church sale. It is a nice feeling.
9. Single? Maybe Mr. Right is right in front of you.
10. Try not to worry, have faith that no matter what, this too shall pass.
11. Enjoy your children as adults, find out who they really are as individuals.
12.Get some attitude!
13.Are you still wearing clothes from the 80's? Update and become a bit trendy.
14. Be spontaneous! Quit planning.
15.Get rid of ridiculous expectation. It only serves to disappoint us.
16.Above all-be kind.
17.Begin a journal and put your feelings and reflections down on paper. Sometimes just writing your thoughts down can be a stress reliever.
18.Teach a younger person a craft that you enjoy.
19.Realize that being 50 is just a number, not a mentality.
20.Begin to check on an elderly neighbor, it will be nice for them and for you as well.
21.Be creative and rearrange your living room furniture. It is surprising how it can make you feel. It can feel like a new room!

24.Do a good deed and don't tell anyone.
25.Don't let your job be your life.
26.Be approachable, watch for those "vibes" that you send out.
27.Pat yourself on the back for how far you have come.
28.Empty nest? Volunteer at your elementary school. Perhaps you could begin reading children's books at a local bookstore.
29.Wear sunblock.
30.Practice the Law of Attraction. Believe and visualize what you want.
31.Live today! Live every moment!

33.Treat yourself to a new dessert, just because you are worth it.
34.Smile at a stranger.

37.Eat breakfast in bed, even if you have to fix it.
38.Buy some special bath gel or lotions and treat yourself to a spa moment.
39.Stay in your jammies till noon.
40.Purchase some fresh flowers for yourself.
41.Know that you are in the best half of your life. You have your wisdom to guide you.
42.Take a minute to be still, and connect with yourself.
43.If you are in the throes of menopause, be as informed as you can.
44.Empower yourself.
45.On your down days, pick up the phone and call someone that needs empathy worse than you.
46.Don't be afraid to have a belly laugh, it is great for our immune system.
47.Take a nap.
48. Use the good china. Why do we hold on to it and never enjoy it!
49.Eat some chocolate everyday.
