5-Year-Old Haleigh Cummings Father Ronald Cummings Knows Something He's Not Telling

Recently on the Nancy Grace show it was announced that authorities are treating the disappearance of 5 -Year-Old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, Florida as a homicide. Searches of the St. Johns River have been conducted, and items found have been sent to the lab. Little Haleigh has been missing since February 10, 2008, and the last person to see her alive was Misty Croslin.

The focus here is on Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, who has an alibi for the night his daughter went missing. The child went missing while in the care of Ronald's live-in girlfriend 17-Year-Old Misty Croslin who has changed her story so many times that it makes one sick. Ronald Cummings returned home from work around 3:25 a.m. 10 February 2008 and learned that his daughter was missing. Now, his story about what happened upon arriving at home has varied also.

On television Ronald Cummings is often weeping, and seems calm or heart-broken. On the night in question upon arriving home and learning that his "little girl" was missing Ronald's re-action was very odd for a parent who just received such horrific news. Ronald does not panic and look for or call out for his child. Ronald, more importantly, seems convinced that someone stole his daughter.

Ronald tells 911 operator "If I find whoever has my daughter before ya'll do I'm killing him." When asked what kind of pajama's Haleigh was wearing Ronald doesn't ask Misty he says, "I don't f....ing know I was at work." You also hear Ronald say to Misty, "How the f... you let my daughter get stole bi..h."

Remember, Misty had not contacted the police or 911. Why? According to Misty she woke up around 3 am and Ronald arrived at 3:25 so for twenty-five minutes Misty did nothing. Now, the door was allegedly propped opened with a cinder block, a back door which is rarely used and had a dead bolt lock on it.

In Florida entrance doors open outward, unlike doors on homes up north which open inward.

The Mysterious "Locked" Back Door
During an interview on with Greta Van Susteren, you see Ronald Cummings cover his Mic, but you can still hear Ronald tell Misty to look at the camera. Why? Later, Greta asks Misty if she heard any noises and Misty responds no. Ronald then explains that the back door has a doorknob lock and a dead bolt lock that is hard to unlock, he says you have to push the door to lock it. Because Florida doors open outward a person would have to pull it opened from outside, but Ronald said that he checks the back door every afternoon before he leaves for work and it's always locked.

Next, Greta tells Ronald there are no signs of forced entry, and Ronald's response is interesting. Ronald Cummings says, "maybe a locksmith, pick lock artist," he adds, "...it was definitely locked and someone came in through it." He wasn't home, yet he sounds 100% sure. What if Misty took the garbage out and forgot to lock the door? Greta then asks Misty how she thinks someone got in the back door and Misty mimicks Ronald, and answers, "They had to pick the lock, that's the only way anyone could get in the door."

Ron Jr. Says a Man In Black Took His Sister Haleigh
Ronald Cummings tells only one consistent story: he wasn't there when Haleigh went missing. Listen to Misty and Ronald when they appeared on the Today Show after getting married. Again you'll hear Ronald stress that he was at work. The way he responds to questions about his son, Ronald Jr., saying a man in black came in and took Haleigh is disturbing and not because he blames Geraldo and bio-mom. It's his attitude, and Ronald Cummings' arrogant body language is chilling when he says, "I don't know I was at work." His eye-brows raise up, his eyes widen momentarily, he lifts his chin with confidence, and seems really cocky because he knows that he has an alibi.

Ronald Cummings Is A Liar
Ronald Cummings lies about using or selling drugs when interviewed by Geraldo, but what is more stunning is watching his body movements, his tone and speech show that Ronald has two sides to him. The crying daddy that he has shown on camera seems to be very fake. During this interview you hear and see his true cocky nature, and how he lies easily. Geraldo ask Ronald Cummings while attending a vigil if he told a Chad and Marcus that he was 75% sure of who had Haleigh, and Ronald seems aggitated as he denies it. And things get ugly, however, at the end of the video Geraldo says, "You believe she's alive then,"and Ronald responds, "I'm always going to believe that my daughter is alive until they find her."

I'll always believe my daughter is alive until they find her? Sounds like Ronald knows when they find Haleigh she will not be alive.

A Glimpse Into Ronald Cummings
During a jail house tape recorded phone call you hear Ronald Cummings talk about slamming a small guard if he [the guard] tries to get him off the phone. Also, Ronald Cummings makes racist remarks, he refers to the black inmates as, "Stinking ass mother f...ing nig..s." His street mentality and cursing show the true Ronald Cummings, he has a tough guy attitude, and although he complains about the jail and guards he seems very familiar with how things work in jail. Lastly, Ronald's language/slang reveals a lot too, "Really, I feel ya girl I wish I could go do mine..." he replies when the caller mentions getting their taxes soon.

Sadly, Ronald Cummings never mentions 5-Year-Old Haleigh, he doesn't ask if there is any new information, doesn't express any thoughts or feelings about his "little girl" it's all about him. Now, ask yourself is this the same sobbing daddy you've seen on television.

Everything about Mr. Cummings is bizzare, a 26 year old man shacking up with a 17 year old girl who he marries a month after his daughter goes missing while in her care. Ronald Cummings more likely than not knows who took Haleigh and why they took her. Currently Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin are in jail for selling prescription drugs to undercover agents, but wait didn't Ronald tell Geraldo he doesn't do drugs. It is no secret that Ronald is known to posses weapons. Why? Regardless his body language, lingo and speech give insight into his true character.

Many a people probably share the opinion that daddy Ronald Cummings is not the go to work, support your family, sobbing daddy that he has portrayed during interviews. He's hiding something about the night his daughter went missing although he has a solid alib and is not a suspect, Ronald might be the link to why someone took his innocent little girl, 5-Year-Old Haleigh Cummings.

Authorities have said that it is likely that Haleigh Cummings is deceased, so let us pray for her and believe that she is in a better place.

    I agree that Cummings is misunderstood all the way down to having such a young girlfriend just look in this culture and you will find this is typical. There is not a handbook on how to act when you child goes missng. I wonder if he was a Yuppie and used better language if he would catch a break from many people. Why would he think someone took his daughter?
    I assume that at first he believed his girlfriend and since the door was set open with a brick logically he would assume that someone came in the door and took his daughter out. Now who I wonder assuming he did believe his girlfriend would do such a thing? A woman? Is a woman the usual suspect to take a little girl out of her home in the middle of the night? This is the area Jessica Lundsford went missing and I think that Mr. Cummings probably had the feeling a child molester took his daughter and anyone that knows anything about the statistics on that would know Haleigh was likely dead.

    The only person that Misty was afraid of was her brother Tommy - she took out a restraining order against him after Haleigh's disappearance - not cousin Joe - not anyone else - - I think Tommy is the party responsible for whatever awful things were done to this defenseless little girl - and out of fear Misty stood by and did nothing.

    I agree with IMO. NOBODY is going to go on TV and admit to selling or using drugs. Ronald was ambushed by Geraldo and caught off guard. I think he handled it pretty well. He does seem controlling and I think that is the reason he told Misty to look at the camera during Greta's interview. He is probably more of a mental abuser than physical. Don't you think Misty would have got the beaten of her life that night if he was physically abusive? I do. Another thing that really gets me is I think Ronald is simply misunderstood. He is an unsophisticated redneck.

    Interesting article. From the beginning I have felt that something was off about Ronald's behavior, not so much the 911 phone call, but the dramatic falling to the ground and hugging her picture. His bragging about spending hundreds of dollars on a tattoo and of course, marrying Misty. His mother even said that they had wanted to marry but never had the time off work! Come on, people do get married on weekends and even week days! This was not an ideal time to tie the knot! To me this stinks of him and Misty thinking (wrongly) that they would not have to testify against each other. He married her to keep her silent! His mother talks a good talk with her "Miss Nancy BS, but her Ron is no angel and I think his butt would have already been in jail with previous charges if she was not an employee of the sheriff's office.     I do want to add, I live within 5 miles of where Haleigh went missing. Everyone I've spoken to believe Misty AND Ronald know exactly what happened, and always have. We all witnessed his behavior. In the beginning, he behaved as someone who had a child pass away; within a few weeks, he was coming to terms with her death, and going on with his life. My adult children saw his behavior at the county fair and the Fishing Rodeo. I saw his behavior at a Longhorn Steakhouse in St. Augustine one Friday afternoon. Wanting his bill comped, because of his situation.

    Anyway, parents of missing children generally do not go on with their lives so quickly, because they have no closure--they don't know if their child is alive or dead, being taken care of, or living a horrendous existence.

    Tra is absolutely correct the screen door opens outwards and one would need to pull it to open it, and the back door with the deadbolt does open inward. However, many a exterior doors in Florida homes do open outward islandgirl. Misty said she was in the living room when she saw the kitchen light on and ran to the bedroom to get her cell phone, from the entrance of the kitchen you cannot see the backdoor you would have to walk into the kitchen. Point is there was no sign of forced entry at that back door.

    mobile home doors often times open outward...I live in Florida, exterior doors swing in on my home, but often times due to lack of space on mobile homes, the door swings out.

    seen the video of the back door on NG and the screen opens out, the door however opens in. You can go to you tube if you dont believe me.
