6 Benefits of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea

Madeline
I love Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea. Even the cute pink-and-white, candy cane-striped box is something to love. The cozy scene of cuddly apron-clad polar bears painted by Mike Wimmer is irresistible and probably the reason I tried this tea in the first place.

I think I might be turning into a hoarder. Candy Cane Lane tea is only available over the Christmas holidays, so I have learned to stock up, attempting (but always failing) to make it last all year long. Every winter I look forward to curling up with this relaxing, refreshing tea. I am normally a coffee-addicted, multi-tasking, crazy-busy working mom. But with a cup of Candy Cane Lane tea, I sip and slow down a bit. Best of all, this 100% natural tea is good for you. Check out the benefits of my all-time favorite cup of tea:

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea is decaffeinated.
Like I said, I'm caffeine-addicted. This unhealthy habit causes me to stay up too late, feel tired in the morning, and then repeat the whole vicious cycle. By sipping a decaffeinated tea, I am able to calm down and relax. I really enjoy a cup before going to bed.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea is green.
Green tea is a natural antioxidant. Studies show that drinking green tea regularly can help prevent cancer, lower cholesterol, and improve heart health. There are indications that green tea could even boost your metabolism and help prevent tooth decay. How awesome is that? The taste of green tea is smooth, light, and subtle. When brewing green tea, pour very hot water (not boiling) over one tea bag and steep it for 3 to 5 minutes.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea contains peppermint.
The peppermint gives my favorite tea a sweet and refreshing taste. Peppermint soothes the stomach, especially after heavy holiday eating. Open the box and just savor the peppermint scent. The smell alone will rejuvenate you.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea is flavored with vanilla.
The addition of vanilla is what I believe sets Candy Cane Lane apart from the other peppermint teas out there. I generally don't like vanilla flavored teas, but just a touch is creamy and delicious!

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea is flavored with cinnamon.
Cinnamon adds an interesting flavor and offers more antioxidant benefits.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea is flavored with blackberry leaves.
This is another delicious and subtle flavor that compliments the overall taste of the tea.

Candy Cane Lane tea is widely sold at your local grocers. A box of 20 bags usually sells for just under $3.00. Buy a box or two during the holidays while you can . . . if I don't beat you to it.

I don't like green tea very much. It's grassy and bitter, although less so if I use several bags at once and only steep them for about 30 seconds. But Candy Cane Lane doesn't have the grassiness or bitterness of normal green tea, so for people who want the benefits of drinking green tea but don't care for the taste, I highly recommend this flavor. I think the mint is probably what it is that somehow negates the unpleasant taste of the green tea. I still use several bags at once and steep them for no longer than a minute, though. I also like it sweet so I add several packets of truvia.

I LOVE this tea and was so disappointed when I went back to the store and the shelf was empty, The many flavors blend together so beautifully. I need to order more so I can enjoy it year round. I must have 40 boxes of tea in my cupboard and this is absolutely my favorite.

I usually stick to Celestial Seasonings when I do buy tea. I haven't tried the Candy Cane version yet though I do love peppermint. I'll have to try it out, thanks for the review.
