Essential #1-Microwave. Since you are living in a dorm rooms chances are you will not have access to a cook top or a stove to cook your food.Expect to live off of microwavable soups such as the infamous college cuisine known as Ramen noodles. You should familiarize yourself with Hungry man dinners and their dining menu. You will be seeing a lot of them.A microwave is a practical and is quite necessary for making college dorm life as comfortable as can you were at home.Well at least come as close to it as possible.
Essential #2 -Mini Fridge. You will need a place to store milk for your cereal and coffee, and juice as that will most often be your breakfast.Without a mini fridge you will have no way of storing food that needs to be refrigerated, mostly beverages will be stored here.Last time i checked college students do not eat many vegetables or fruits, so you probably will not stock these in your fridge.
Essential #3-Coffee Maker. You will be drinking a lot of coffee! pulling all nighters, and partying until the break of dawn both require one thing to keep you functioning the next morning Coffee!
Essential #4-Alarm Clock. You will need this because mommy and daddy will not be there to kiss you awake each morning. You are an adult now, and unfortunately adults must wake up on their own. What is even more unfortunate is that adults have to wake up to a screeching series of loud annoying beeps, every single day. For the rest of your life.
Essential #5- Ipod Dock. It is almost a fact that every college student has an Ipod, but now you need an Ipod Dock to enjoy your tunes aloud while studying, cleaning, surfing the web. These all require a killer play list to mellow out your mood.
Essential #6- Laptop with WIFI! A laptop is nice and needed. A laptop with built in wifi that's just a flat out godsend. You will need a laptop to do your papers , research,to stay connected with close friends and family members back home, maybe to even write for associated content to supplement your income.

Post a CommentI would suggest that if you don't need a coffee maker, if you don't drink coffee. But I found a hot water heater ideal for me. Because I don't drink coffee but enjoy hot chocolate.
I have an ipod docking system at home, but decided that my laptop was sufficient for me.
