There is also an increased interest for vintage stuff. The ecology has crossed a long way. Today, the style involved a concern for the environment. Here are some tips for renovation in a green style!
1. Check the level of VOC in paint
The paint is a relatively inexpensive method to repair the house or the outside. But the paint usually has high levels of volatile organic chemicals considered harmful. Check the products label before purchasing them.
2. The composition of the mattress
A very soft bed makes the sleep more pleasant, but for making the mattress softer it is used formaldehyde aldehydes, a toxic product, which should not exist in your bedroom. See if your mattress is made of natural latex or rubber.
3. Bamboo floors
It is hard to believe that the Asian bamboo floors will be popular, because the easiest and cheapest method is to stick to what you already have. But your health and the environment should have priority.
4. Give up your carpet
The carpets are soft and warm, but they collect dust, hair and germs that can produce allergies. Instead, you can try small carpets thrown strategically on the parquet: they are easier to clean and your house will be protected against toxic particles.
5. Abstract metal art
It is chic and some art objects of metal are made of things thrown away by people. Instead, abstract metal art is in fashion, being placed in top 10 trends for 2009, according to designers.
6. Recycle the old furniture
That means a smaller number of cut trees and less damages of the soil. Moreover, people will appreciate your concern towards the environment.

For sure, six solid eco tips here. We have a completely organic cotton mattress for my daughter. The next one we buy for ourselves is definitely going to be organic. And I'm just about ready to install cork (eco) flooring.
