As we may all know, acne is a natural occurrence that is caused by many different factors. It is something that affects to most of us, including children and adults. There are times acne heals on its own; however, there are also times that it can be cured by some kind of treatment. The good news is that acne can be remedied at home, and the things you will need can be found in the kitchen, or in the garden. Here are some tips on how to get rid of the irritating acne at home:

1) Garlic has sulfur, one of the best natural antibiotics, and it also helps getting rid of impurities. Consume two to three garlic a day, and it will help purify the blood stream and helps skin fight acne better.

2) Lemon juice along with a glass of water helps in treating acne. Lemon contains citric acid, a natural anti-oxidant that helps fight against impurities. Just drink 5 glasses of lemon water every day.

3) Sandalwood and turmeric powder mixed with rosewater is a remedy used in India. Make a paste using these ingredients and apply all over the face, and leave for half an hour. Use cold water in rinsing it, and pat dry with towel. Turmeric acts as an astringent while sandalwood is good in healing.

4) Apricot is known to be an effective acne fighter. Apply apricot juice to the affected area and leave for 10 minutes before washing your face.

5) Marigold (or calendula) is proven to be anti-inflammatory. Make a tea out of marigold leaves. Wash your face with the tea once it cools. Just be careful though; some people are allergic to this herb.

6) Aloe Vera helps heal the skin from the damages of acne, and it also helps improve your skin overall. Just pluck an aloe vera leaf and apply the gel in the affected areas.

These 6 tips can help you get rid of acne or, at least, help you with the healing process. Some of you may see the results in no time and some of you may take a while in order to see the improvement. If your acne is severe, you may need some additional help and more advanced action.
