Lil Wayne was released from jail to the delight of the "Free Weezy" crowd six weeks ago.
"6 Foot, 7 Foot" is the first single from his upcoming album "Carter IV."
Lil Wayne, a platinum selling rap start and MC, pleaded guilty last year to possession of a loaded gun while on a concert tour bus in Manhattan. He was sentenced to one year last March and served eight months.
While in prison Lil Wayne served the last month of his sentence in solitary confinement according to CBS news, allegedly because headphones for a digital music player were found in his cell.
While Lil Wayne was in prison his CD "I Am Not a Human Being" was released and hit number one on the Billboard music charts.
Produced by Shondrae 'Bangladesh' Crawford "6 Foot, 7 Foot" is a stream-of-conscious flow in which Lil Wayne rhymes over a sample of Harry Belafonte's "Banana Boat Song (Day-O)."

WHAT?!?!?!
Thanks for the great report... :o)
They're actually called metaphors Patti and Michele, and if you knew anything about rap you would know of different styles and different ways of interpretting lyrics. Not every song (Especially by Wayne) has to be deep and needs to have a ton of meaning. This song is merely about his swag. I'm sure you are one of the many who makes assumptions about rap that it is nonsense and all about money, sex, and women. While some rappers are only about that, those are often the less respected rappers. If you knew anything about rap you would know better, and would know that rap is actually deeper than probably any other genre of music. Rappers get 3-4 times as many lyrics in one song, and many rappers come from harsh beginnings. Anyone who can interpret their lyrics is hearing a story as they listen. "The Show Goes On" by Lupe Fiasco is a perfect example. 6 Foot 7 Foot is a creative song, and while it is not his best, it is something different. Whether you admit it or not, very
never heard it but will listen for it
LOL @ Patti! Kids and rappers have their own language these days :) cheers
awesome ♥ always good to remember to review different things.
Interesting report. Clicked on the "lyrics", if you can call them that - they do rhyme, sort of. Too bad he didn't take time while stranded in jail to take up some language classes and expand his vocabulary.
