Everybody who is ordinary is operating on a tight budget these days. We spend wisely within the confines of a "budget." It does not help that Christmas, the most expensive time of the year, is just days away. Have you completed your shopping, yet? Is everybody's name "ticked off" on your shopping list? Well, for those who have yet to buy gifts for people on their Christmas List, do consider the following suggestions... in fact you don't even have to go shopping for these, just be willing to share a little time, be less selfish and a little more considerate of others.

1. The gift of listening and understanding. You can give this valuable gift to someone who lives alone. You must be with the person and really listen. No interrupting to provide your input. No clever or witty responses. Just lend your understanding ear.

2. The gift of laughter. Think of ways to tell the person you want to give this gift to, that: "I love to laugh with you." Be creative. You may start by cutting out a funny article from an old magazine which you can share with this particular person.

3. The gift of a sincere compliment. Just a simple: "You look good in yellow," or "I like your hair," will sound great for those who may feel taken for granted.

4. The gift of letting alone. There are some points in our lives when we may want nothing better than to be left alone. Be sensitive to those time and give "time alone" without disturbance.

5. The gift of a cheerful disposition. Be cheerful to those whom you come in contact with. Nobody likes a grouch. Afterall Christmas is supposed to be a season cheer.

6. The gift of prayer. Pray for those persons on your Christmas list and tell them you pray for them. Telling someone you have prayed for them is in effect saying: "You are so special to me that I talk to God about you."

You can add your own brand of free gift. These are gifts for all season. Best of all, its free.
