Cypress Gardens is a beautiful garden oasis was built in the 1930's, many people have no idea it even exists. Cypress Gardens have seen a decline over the years because of bigger parks that boast huge thrill rides. There are four giant gardens to visit here and there are also 41 rides for children and adults. Visitors can also sit down and relax to 14 great shows and water events. Cypress Gardens also has a yearly pass that is under $70 per person.
Gatorland is another attraction that has been around since before the days of Disney. Visitors can get a thrill seeing all of the different gators and learn everything there is to know about an alligator. The park was closed for a short while after a fire tore through the area. The open alligator mouth that used to be the entrance was destroyed but the park has since reopened.
Pleasure Island, an adults only section of Orlando is in the downtown Disney area and is great for anyone who wants to party. There are lots of nightclubs and restaurants to have lively evening of dancing and dining at Pleasure Island.
Blizzard Beach is a strange park to be in Florida but a legend claims that it was Orlando and Florida's first resort for skiers after an old snow storm swept the area. Once the ice melted Disney apparently turned it into a thrilling water park. At least that's how the legend goes.
Orlando Science Center is a place to go for some entertaining learning experiences. Visitors can learn about different parts of science including electricity and biology and go around to different beautiful displays and exhibits.
Ripley's Believe It or Not was created to showcase the strange collection of Ripley. Found in the downtown tourist section of Orlando it can take hours to look at all of the amazing and downright weird items that are on display. Have you ever seen a shrunken head?
If you want to cool off in sunny Florida you and your family can also visit some of the water parks that line Orlando. Wet 'n Wild is one of the best water parks to visit and it is cheaper than most amusement parks. Other water parks include Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon.
