1) Using online calendars to manage your time can be very effective method for life organization. Using online calendars, such as Google calendar, can connect many family and friends to one calendar. All of your contacts can add to a calendar, and display their plans to everyone else. Everyone who is using the online calendar can keep and organize the events they have planned, which simplifies life organization greatly.
I highly suggest you set up an online calendar, and convince your relatives and friends to subscribe to your calendar. Once they are consistent in posting their events, it becomes much easier to plan your own events with them so that you don't interfere. An online calendar is a very handy tool for life organization.
2) Set goals, but more than that, set goals and decide what actions are necessary for you to succeed at your goals. Life organization becomes much easier when you have a sense of direction and you have planned what you want to do.
Set daily goals, along with long term goals, that can be satisfied if you do 90% of your daily goals. That way after completing your daily goals, you can see them lead into completing other goals in your life.
Additionally, you can post your daily goals as a private event to your online calendar, so that you can easily visualize your life organization plans. Posting them to the online calendar can also help remind you of your daily and long term goals so that you can keep on track, and continue to complete them.
3) Sometimes you come home, and you feel like you have a load of things to do, and your feeling depressed at all your chores that need to be done.
Make a list for life organization. Write down 3 categories: Things you absolutely have to do today; things you really should do, but can post-pone; and things you would like to do today if you have extra time. The first category is reserved for the most important tasks.
Now divide your time up to accomplish the most important tasks. If you have time left over, you will work down the list. If not, make sure you will have time to complete the new important tasks tomorrow. Don't overload yourself with tasks on either day however.
Usually, after performing this list, it makes it easier to see that there are not as many very important tasks as you thought there were. This is a very effective life organization tool that helps your mind to slow down and relax itself.
4) Money is a big part of our lives, so financial planning is an important step of life organization. Find your monthly income, and subtract your known expenditures that you are obligated to pay. Subtract a portion for left over emergency money, and find the amount of money you are free to spend. Divide this down by 4 to find your weekly budget, and do not exceed this.
It may help individuals to monitor their spending, by knowing how much money they have left for the week to spend on. While it can be fun to spend, it is twice as worse when you don't have money to spend on something you really want, so monitoring your money can improve your life organization greatly.
5) As gas prices rise, proper planning to combining trips is crucial to effective life organization. Make a list of the places you need to go in the week. Use your online calendar to plan the trips, by grouping the similarly located trips together. On one day, you will visit the 3 places that are all next to each other.
This obviously saves substantial gas and time, but also helps your life organization by simplifying your trips into groups. It is much less stressful when you have planned the places you need to visit out in the calendar.
6) My final life organization tip would be to occasionally break these tips. Don't bind yourself to your arrangements unless they are very important. If there is a chance for fun on the spur of the moment, post-pone unimportant tasks and go have fun. Sporadic fun can help you express yourself and lessen stress, which makes life organization much easier, and sometimes unneeded.
