6 Tips on How to Enjoy Walt Disney World on a Hot Day

Orlando, Florida can be a very hot city during the summer months and the temperature can get into the triple digits. Many families visit Disney World during the hot summer months and the hot weather can be tough to deal with on some days. It can be hard to enjoy Disney World with a combination of heat, humidity and large crowds. Don't worry; you can still have a great time at Disney World with the right amount of planning for the trip.
  1. Stay at the Disney Hotel or Resort. The Disney's Resorts offers air conditioned transportation to the theme parks. There are some perks to staying at Disney's Resorts. For example, Disney has something called the Extra Magic Hour that's available to resort guests. The park will open an hour early for resort guests. Also, some resorts offer water activities like surfing lessons. This can be cooling on a hot afternoon.
  2. Bring Water Mister Fans. It would be cheaper to buy the water mister fans at Wal-Mart. The fans are really good at cooling you off why standing in the long lines for a ride.
  3. Get a Park Hopper Pass. If you buy the Park Hopper Pass then you can visit the water parks. Some of the popular parks are Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. It is wise to visit water parks before 11:00 am because the water parks can feel up pretty quickly.
  4. Dress in Cool Clothing. You should wear light clothing that's not heavy and wear sandals.
  5. Drink Plenty of Water. You will need to drink plenty of water to keep from becoming dehydrated. Disney Parks have First Aid Stations that will help anyone that's sick and dehydrated.
  6. Find time to cool down. Many children will become cranky in hot weather. You should plan an activity that has air conditioning and somewhere to sit. For example, you can take a break to go inside a restaurant and eat lunch. It's important to find an activity that everyone can use to cool down.

Walt Disney World is a great place for families to visit for vacation. People should prepare to deal with Orlando's hot and humid weather. Also, there is a lot of walking involved when visiting Orlando's theme parks. The weather will not take away from the magic and experience of visiting Walt Disney World. These are great tips to use on your next visit to a Disney theme Park.
