1. Learn to fix guns. The technical expertise will really come into its own considering how often guns seem to break down, from fried wires to faulty gearboxes, to motor issues. You will find that most people have no clue when it comes to the internals. It's all black boxes for them. If you learn to fix guns, you could even open up a business or shop but beware, don't take on projects that are too difficult or you could wind up damaging the gun even more, incurring extra costs from the disgruntled customer.
2. Get sponsored. Of course, this is not the easiest way to make money with airsoft but it always a possibility. If you're good, you could always join a pro team and get sponsored just to play and wear the corporate logos. However, this is out of reach for most of us plain old enthusiasts.
3. Organize games. I know of many people who want to play airsoft that either do not know where to go or are too lazy to set up a game. By providing the valuable service of connecting players with the games, you can command a good commission per game. However, something like this requires that you have good social connections and standing.
4. Teach Airsoft. Airsoft is all about real combat simulation. If you know a newbie who's interested in learning hand signs, proper terminology, even airsoft tactics, you could teach him privately or even start a class. Maybe throw in a couple lessons on gun maintenance and you would have a legitimate class right there. It is always a good way to make some money off airsoft on the side.
5. Customize Guns. Whether you can do a custom paint or replace internals or even metalwork and redesign the outer body, all of the skills mentioned are valuable assets to you. Always be careful not to damage the gun or you may end up incurring more costs than profits. Do not attempt if you are not absolutely confident in your skills as a technician.
6. Retail. Know where to buy guns and equipments at inexpensive rates? Go ahead and stock up on a few and turn them around for a nice little profit. The biggest problem with this idea is finding a customer base. Don't get ahead of yourself and purchase too many only to find that you have no one to sell to. Find the customers first and purchase the guns afterwards.
