60 Year Old Female Teacher Gets Additional Charges

Update to Female Teacher, 60 Years Old, Having Sex with Students, more charges were levied against Adrienne LaFlamme for allegedly having sex with two minors and filing a false police report. According to More charges in teacher sex case by Keyonna Summers, Adrienne LaFlamme was put in jail for 15 counts of unlawful sex with a minor. Prosecutors have added five more counts of unlawful sex with the same 17 year old and also added counts of lewd and lascivious conduct, exhibition, battery and molestation of a 14 year old that was allegedly added from a threesome with the older boy.

Each of the counts aforementioned is a second degree felony and if found guilty Adrienne LaFlamme could face 15 years in prison for each offense. Adrienne LaFlamme is also charged with another second degree felony of providing the 17 year old with marijuana and misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and filing a false police report.

July 14, 2008 Adrienne LaFlamme resigned her teaching post for "personal" reasons. The Superintendent, Richard DiPatri was going to recommend the termination of Adrienne LaFlamme. The school board would have had to approve the termination. In cases of child abuse or sexual assault suspension is usually automatic awaiting the outcome of the legal proceedings. Wouldn't it be best to remove the teacher from that particular school regardless of the outcome?

Florida Department of Education will determine whether Adrienne LaFlamme can keep her teaching certificate and continue teaching. If she is found guilty and sentenced with separate terms chances are good she won't ever teach again. Adrienne LaFlamme will probably die behind bars since she is 60 years old. If she is guilty, the community can only hope she never teaches nor touches another child again.

The 17 year olds maturity was questionable due to his age but a 14 year old is just too young to be having sex. Under 30 you are too young to be having sex with a 60 year old.

I am still completely against someone using their authority for sexual advances. A teacher is someone who is in a profession that is held to higher standards and should be even more accountable than just a common contact of a child that was physically abused, mentally abused or sexually abused. Teachers are setting the standards for the next generations. They need to show common decency and some common sense!

Momma J, whoops, my comment was aimed at Bob Smithe and Artme and not you :-)

She hasn't been found guilty yet. What's with the comments assuming she IS guilty? She could be innocent - kids have been known to lie about this before. And yes, of course, she could be guilty in which case she should be in jail but, I'll wait to reserve judgement until that happens.
