7 Beauty Products for $7 and Under

Amanda Furbeck
It's so easy for me to bleed my beauty budget dry. Every trip to Sephora, I'm tempted by shiny bottles, bright colors, and tantalizing lotions and serums. I drool. My credit card quakes with fear, hoping that I won't do too much damage to my credit score. Lucky for me, there are plenty of budget priced beauty items that will fill my need for all things pretty. These seven beauty items, all under $7, will deliver without breaking the budget.

Skin care. Quality skin care can easily run you over $100, for just a month or two's supply. If spending that much money on your skin makes you break out, try out Neutrogena's Acne Stress Control Skin Care, instead. For $7 a tube(or less) you'll find great acne treatment products - cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. Each tube can last several months and will keep your skin looking clear and healthy.

Mineral foundation. This beauty staple can run up your beauty bill at warp speed, especially if you like to contour your face with multiple colors and shades. We all know the benefits of mineral foundation: natural SPF, skin clearing properties, and shine control. But now you can find a budget friendly version that won't clog up your pours at www.eyeslipsface.com. Choose your perfect shade for just $5. Keep watch for great deals and sale events to stock up to save even more!

Mascara. Any makeup artist will tell you that a product doesn't have to be expensive to be good. One of my all time favorites is Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara. This product is time tested and definitely won't break the bank. The original pink and green tube still costs less than $7.00 at most major retailers. You won't have to cry over spilt pennies whenever you need to replace your tube.

Lip gloss. If you think you can sneak in and out of Sephora without being tempted by the allure of all those bottles and tubes, you can find a great lip gloss for $7. Sephora's Fresh Gloss is a pocket-sized, minty-fresh lip gloss with lots of shine. Perfect for your pocket, purse, and bank account.

Eye liner. Ditto goes for Sephora's Nano eyeliners. I love these tiny little eyeliners. They go on smooth and stay right where you put them. At this price - $5 - you can buy one in all your favorite colors. Glitter back is my mainstay.

Makeup brushes. Brushes are a worthy investment, but if you're trying to mind a budget you might not want to invest too much. At www.meetmark.com, you can find adorable travel brushes that hook together, each for less than $7. And because these brushes come with their own cap, you can throw them in your bag without fear of mess or contamination.

Eye shadow. Who doesn't love eyeshadow? But if the fear of choosing the wrong color has you paralyzed, relax! Www.eyeslipsface.com has a plethora of colors you can try for only a buck. At this price, you can experiment with a multitude of shimmer in powder, liquid, or cream form until you find your favorites. Or make a big splurge and try the mineral powder eye shadows for the amazing price of $3.

When I feel the urge to splurge on beauty items, I take a deep breath, and redirect myself to my fav budget beauty items. They work great, help me feel beautiful, and keep my budget on track. I can wear green on my eyes, and keep some in the bank. And that is a beautiful thing, indeed!
