Beauty does not have to be hard or expensive. These seven tips will help you find budget friendly ways of taking care of yourself, and they all work great. Best of all, most of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen and the rest are sure to be at your grocery store for next to nothing.

Cut a lemon in half and place each elbow inside of one. Sit like this for 10 minutes, and then shower as you normally would. Use your lemon halves in the shower to soften all of your skin and get a great citrus scent. Apply lotion to your whole body after you shower and don't forget your elbows. This removes dirt, stains on your skin and it softens your skin.

Mix ½ cup of sugar with the juice from one lemon. Form a paste out of this mixture. Use this to exfoliate your skin in the shower. This treatment works very well and it costs less then 1.00 per treatment.

Give yourself an instant face lift with this easy home tip. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Massage the paste into your face rinse it thoroughly. This is a very cheap method of getting that fresh face in the morning.

Treat your hair with mayonnaise to get a healthy shine. Coat your hair with mayonnaise and cover it in plastic wrap. Heat your hair up with a blow dryer and leave the mayonnaise on for 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair very well and condition as you normally would.

Mix one teaspoon lemon juice and ½ teaspoon lime juice in one cup of water, store in a spray bottle, will keep up to five days, lemon will close your hair cuticle and prevent frizz, lime will help break up static and coat your hair.

If you have dark brown hair you can rinse it will coffee instead of dying it with expensive and harsh dyes. Do this about once a month or so to brighten and darken up your hair color. Be careful not to let the coffee sit on your skin as it will stain.

Mix one teaspoon of baking soda with your normal amount of shampoo for a washing. Wash your hair as you normally would. This removes residue and build up in your hair. Do this about once a month.
