Blondies. The butterscotch cousin to a chocolate brownie, blondies are a rich, thick, and delicious cake-like dessert. They are made with brown sugar and butterscotch chips. Add some vanilla ice cream and a caramel sauce and you have a Valentine's Day dessert to die for.
Cheesecake. Cheesecake is available in many different varieties, not the least of which are chocolate. But beyond chocolate is a multitude of delicious ways to serve cheesecake. A plain cheesecake with caramel or fruit sauce, or fresh fruit is delicious. Or, you can make or buy a cheesecake with a fruit flavored swirl, such as raspberry or strawberry. Cheesecake is a very romantic dessert, whether or not it is chocolate flavored.
Sugar Cookies. In the realm of non-chocolate Valentine's Day treats, sugar cookies are king. A big, soft, heart shaped sugar cookie with pink frosting and sprinkles is irresistible.
Rice Krispie Treats. Mix up a quick batch of Rice Krispie Treats for a simple, but delicious treat for your Valentine. M&Ms are a popular mix-in for Rice Krispie Treats, but for someone who doesn't like chocolate, try sprinkles or nonpareils in Valentine's Day colors, or even cinnamon red hots.
Strawberry Shortcake. Another romantic dessert, a Strawberry Shortcake is sure to please your chocolate-hating Valentine. Strawberry Shortcake is easy to make, too. You can either buy sponge cake, strawberry topping and whipped cream at the grocery store, or make some quick biscuits, slice up some fresh strawberries and whip some heavy cream at home. Making Strawberry Shortcake from scratch won't take you much longer.
Angel Food Cake. A light and fluffy Angel Food Cake is the perfect way to end your Valentine's Day dinner. You can make an angel food cake from a box of cake mix. Add some fresh fruit, or maybe a strawberry frosting and you have an easy and delicious non-chocolate dessert.
Fruit Tart. You can't go wrong with fruit for a Valentine's Day dessert. A fruit tart made from a graham cracker crust (you can even use store bought!) and some fresh cut up fruit is a delicious alternative to a chocolate dessert. Serve your fruit tart with whipped cream for an extra special touch.
