Facebook is a really dangerous weapon many can use it against you and even you can use it against many others, unlike MySpace, Facebook is a bit more refined. So keep these tips in mind and be well mannered on Facebook.

Think before uploading pictures;
firstly for privacy but, if you want to be well mannered don't upload pictures of you being half naked, drunk and pissing on your own television. Such pictures tell a lot, so avoid them.

Go easy on updates;
this is not twitter; it is not necessary to update every meal you had, every page you read or the climate after every 15 minutes. It is just a status update, so ask yourself whether anyone would care about your comment before typing it.

Select friends carefully;
some want only the real world contacts; some accept anyone as a friend. Well it is more of a personal choice. But, remember having more friends means a lot of invitations, events, applications, etc. and have a lesser pool means a limited network. You have to suffer in both.

Control Chatting;
remember it is the same as any other messenger, you friends and family might be busy with certain things, don't keep disturbing them by sending annoying message using Facebook chat. Be patient and use it appropriately.

Now, choose 16 friends...;
people get really annoyed when they receive invitations which are of no interest to them from their friends, so don't ever so it. Just search for a button saying, 'skip this step' or 'continue to results' pressing this button would take you to the next page. It is alright to send an invitation if you know that person would like it a lot, but don't spam!

Never poke people;
this really bothers a lot of people so please stop poking.

Stop playing Mafia Wars;
it's enough of it.
