7" Granny Square Pattern - Simply Sweet

Easy, Not Quite Solid Square

Marie Anne St. Jean
This granny square doesn't have a lot of holes for little fingers and toes to get tangled in, so would make a lovely baby blanket. I call it "Simply Sweet" because the colors I chose for the prototype remind me of Marshmallow Peeps and other candy you might find in an Easter basket.

The pattern as written makes a four-color granny square, but it is equally as pretty using a single color if you want a solid afghan. Photos of a single-color square and several other color variations may be seen here.

I'd be thrilled to know how to do this. Like I've said before, I do loom knitting, but otherwise I don't know what I'm doing. Too bad you're not just around the corner. I could use a lesson or two, or three....
