MySavings.com
When you sign up for a free account with this website, you have the option of subscribing to a weekly e-newsletter filled with new freebie offers. I decided to opt out of the free newsletter because I get enough emails as it is, but maybe you want to be the first to sign up for all the samples out there, and if that's the case, go for it. I do recommend that you get an email account specifically for your free sample offers though, and don't use your business email address in case you get hit by a spammer and have to explain why you were surfing free sample websites at work... doh!
Mysavings.com has free samples online for people from the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as other countries, so that might be good for you international folks. You also have the option of downloading a free tool bar for your web browser, which will allow you to easily search for free sample offers. I have to be honest here. I love free samples, but I freaking hate having to click through pages and pages of an internet questionnaire trying to get me to sign up for free newsletters and stuff. Since I don't have the patience to click no to the all the offers, I decided to say "Screw you, mysavings.com!" and move on the next site. It might be the best free sample site out there, but I'll never know.
My vote on MySavings.com? I say No Way!
StartSampling.com
Okay, so when I went to sign up for a free account at StartSampling.com, I discovered that I had an account that I must have signed up for several years ago, because it had my address in another state. I was able to log in to my account, so I can't tell you about the sign-up process, because I can't remember. However, when you click on Samples on the main page after you've logged in, you'll find a bunch of offers tailored to you. I decided to click on an offer promising a free sample of Burt's Bees. All I had to do was answer a couple of questions about my face care routine, and then I was assured that my free sample would be in the mail in 4 - 6 weeks.
One thing that I didn't like was that there were only a couple samples that I would actually be interested in ordering, but I guess maybe the next time I visit the site, I'll have new options. One thing that's pretty cool is that the website keeps a record of all of the samples you've ever ordered (which is how I can tell that I ordered a free sample of shampoo in September 2006).
My vote on StartSampling.com? I say It's Okay.
The Free Site
Well, the upside is that you don't have to sign up for an account to be able to access the free samples online at The Free Site, but the downside is that a lot of the samples aren't of any real use to me. I mean, I -could- order the Catholic Home Teachings free kit, but I won't. And while I might conceivably need a free pregnancy wristband or free condoms, I'm not knocked up and I already have a free source for condoms so why bother?
This site is good if you want to find a ton of free sample offers all in one place and you don't mind click through pages of listings to find stuff that's interesting to you. I did sign up for a free sample of Dove shampoo, which didn't take a lot of effort, so I guess it's not so bad.
My vote on The Free Site? I say It's Fine.
Wal-Mart Free Samples Online
By far one of the best places to score free samples of all sorts of products is Walmart.com. You can frequently find offers for health and beauty items like chewable vitamins, tampons, maxi-pads, dissolvable vitamin drinks, and much more. I've even received free samples of laundry detergent, which is an offer I just love! I signed up for an offer of Emergen-C vitamin drink and sample of PrilosecOTC, but when I clicked on the Kotex offer, they were all out. Be sure to check this site often and sign up fast when you see a good offer. These samples always arrive really fast, too. Also, I always say I will review the offers, but I've never been contacted for a review.
My vote for Wal-Mart's Free Samples Online? I say It's Great.
Proctor and Gamble Free Samples Online
The best thing about the P&G Free Samples Website is that you register once, and then the site remembers your name and address so you don't have to keep typing it all the time. In fact, when you click on the P&G brand sampler link, you have a ton of options and you can sign up for all of your samples at once. I signed up for a free sample of Prilosec, 2 different kinds of Metamucil, and a bunch of coupons for Tide and Downy. Offers are updated a couple times a year.
My vote for P&G Free Samples Online? I give it an A+.
Dunkin Donuts
Okay, free coffee? Hell yeah! The sign up process is pain-free and you can get your own 1.1 ounce sample pack of Dunkin Donuts Coffee.
My vote? A++++ (Can you tell I love coffee, especially when it's free?)
Deal of Day Free Sample Forum
This is by far my favorite free sample website. You sign up for a free account, and then you check out the free sample forums. You want to make sure to click on the link for the strictly free freebies, which means no postage and handling and no credit card info. You'll find links for samples for everything from free ice cream to free cleaning products, and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the selection. I love this site, and I have to tell you that I saved the best for last. So far today I've signed up for a free sample of Honey Nut Cheerios, Kashi Cereal, and Secret Deoderant.
My vote? The Best!!!
