7 Manhattan Hotels

New York City is heralded by many as the terrestrial center of the universe. Truthfully New York City is just another place; but a place unlike any other. In The City That Never Sleeps there is so much to do and see. But even if the city doesn't sleep you still have to. Hotels in New York City are everywhere; it's not as though you only have one place in town where you can stay. With that being the case you might as well stay nearby where you are going to be. Here are 7 hotels in 7 neighborhoods in New York City which may be perfect for your next visit to The Big Apple; whatever your business in the big city may be.

Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway): A Times Square staple, the Marriott Marquis is a hotel which everyone should stay in at least once. Their rooftop restaurant is breathtaking and the views from the exterior facing rooms is truly something special. The property comes with everything you would expect from the Marriott name.

Millennium Hilton (55 Church Street): If the Financial District is more your speed and you're interested in seeing one of New York City's finest hotels built up around all the history still on display downtown you should consider the Millennium Hilton. Another renown brand which has many faces all over the world, the Millennium Hilton is like nowhere else you've seen before.

Hotel 91 (91 East Broadway): If downtown is your speed but you can't afford the downtown prices, consider staying at the boutique property Hotel 91. Located on East Broadway in the culturally rich neighborhood of Chinatown, Hotel 91 welcomes all comers. The apartment style rooms are pretty plain but leave you plenty of impetus to get out and explore the city.

New York's Hotel Pennsylvania (401 Seventh Ave at 33rd Street): If you're traveling into or out of the city via Amtrak or buses at Penn Station, you can't miss your departure time. Rather than stressing out about getting to your destination on time, why not just stay across the street? Hotel Pennsylvania is also a great spot for folks going to a late night event at Madison Square Garden as the hotel is just across the street from there as well. Times Square is nearby as well.

Hudson Hotel (356 W 58th St): Another great property a little further uptown, Hudson Hotel welcomes all comers. If you're visiting New York City in the spring or fall and visiting Central Park, Columbus Circle, and Lincoln Center are on your list of things to do, Hudson Hotel is your answer.

Franklin Hotel (164 E 87th St): Another great spot to visit if you're looking for the quieter side of New York City is the Franklin Hotel. Located on East 87th Street, Franklin Hotel is something of an anomaly; being on the Upper East Side in a largely residential part of town. The Franklin Hotel is the perfect spot for visitors of Museum Mile.

Thompson LES (190 Allen St): Located downtown on Allen Street, Thompson is the perfect spot for Lower East Side ravers to come crashing down to. Called "haute minimalism" the Thompson LES is heralded as a design lover's paradise.
