The type of foods you eat can make a significant difference when it comes building lean body muscle and how quickly your muscles recover. Here is a list of seven muscle building foods that should be implemented into your daily nutrition.

1. Red Meats - Eating lean meat is an excellent source of protein which helps with building lean muscle. Red meats are not only high in protein value, but they also contain zinc, iron and vitamins. It is recommended to eat two to three servings per week.

4. Chocolate Milk - That tasty drink you enjoyed as a kid is actually beneficial to helping your muscle recover and repair as they contain whey protein. It also helps boost calcium and vitamin D which are essential to bone health.

5. Fish - Fish and especially salmon, contain healthy fatty acids like Omega-3 which have been proven to aid the cardiovascular system. It is recommended to eat three to four ounce servings a week.

6. Chicken - Even if red meats are already part of your diet, chicken is also very high in protein and contain essential vitamins and minerals that are excellent to building muscle.

7. Fruits - Fruits like apples, bananas, strawberries, oranges and berries are not only excellent for your health, but they also contain high levels of vitamins, fiber, potassium, zinc, iron and other minerals that are essential to keeping your body healthy.
