7. Pikmin 1 & 2
When Pikmin released on the Nintendo Gamecube, gamers were amazed by the intriguing world, fascinating creatures, addictive gameplay, fantastic puzzles, and the charm and charisma exuded by tiny space pilot, Olimar. The suspenseful, tense nature of the first game with its 30 day time limit for survival was enough to draw in countless gamers to try to rescue Olimar from his fate on the distant planet. Pikmin 2 added co-op, larger environments, and removed the time limit (making for a more inviting experience), all allowed it to surpass it's predecessor.
Why They'll Never Get It: Officially, the imaginative world of Pikmin will never grace the 360 or PS3 consoles because it is an IP of Nintendo. On principle, they'll never get it because Olimar neither carries a gun under his arm nor a woman under his pants.
6. Tales of Symphonia & Dawn of The New World
The definitive RPG experiences on both the Wii and the Gamecube, the ToS games are more than remarkable. With possibly the greatest battle system for any RPG ever crafted, extremely entertaining characters, an immense amount of replay value, and an experience unlike any other- Tales of Symphonia and it's follow-up easily hold the RPG crown on Nintendo consoles.
Why They'll Never Get It: A third party game- honestly, this could happen. Actually it did in Japan for the PS2, but that's beside the point. This won't happen namely because it was a very stylized game that didn't focus on mind-blowing graphics, nor did it try to emulate the other RPG giants- it carved its own path down a road not traveled by HD gamers.
5. Pokemon
The greatest selling RPG series of all-time. Filled to the brim with cute creatures, an intuitive battle system, and the most effective slogan ever, 'Gotta Catch'em All'- Pokemon is something to marvel at. Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen, FireRed, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver, HeartGold- any of the pairs is an addictive masterpiece adored by gamers.
Why They'll Never Get It: Once again, officially, Nintendo owns it. On principle, 360 & PS3 gamers shun cuteness and turn-based games. Everything must feature a dirt color scheme and button-mashing gameplay.
4. Metroid Prime Trilogy
A trio of some of Samus's greatest adventures. Metroid Prime Trilogy embodies everything right about Samus- this side of Super Metroid. Exploration, enigmatic environments and creatures, compelling stories, and an awesome arsenal of weapons. MP Trilogy also sports among the greatest FPS controls to ever grace a console.
Why They'll Never Get It: As usual, Nintendo owns it. Aside from that, while being a shooter, it has one thing to repel any Sony or Microsoft fan boy- a female protagonist in Samus Aran.
3. Super Mario Galaxy
There was a time when critics believed Mario could do no better than Super Mario 64. Not to be left in the past, Nintendo outdid itself with Super Mario Sunshine- though not everyone offered it Mario 64's throne. Then came the Wii's Super Mario Galaxy which took the throne, crown, and key to the kingdom. With gravity-defying platforming, thought-compelling puzzles, and a whole galaxy to explore- Super Mario Galaxy reached a never before seen echelon of gaming.
Why They'll Never Get It: This one is a bit too obvious- Mario = Nintendo and vice versa. Beyond that... who am I kidding? 360 and PS3 gamers would gobble up if somehow a multiplatform Mario game was to be released.
2. Anything with 'Legend of Zelda' In The Title.
The most epic series to ever appear on any console, without a doubt. Link's adventures have been masterpieces from start to finish, across any timeline, and on any Nintendo system. What's there to say about Zelda that hasn't been?
Why They'll Never Get It: Like Mario, Link is Nintendo. As for HD gamers, they'd drop their Gods of war and their chief masters for Link in no time.
1. Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Everything Nintendo (and a little not) in one all-star fighting game. The definitive multiplayer experience. Enough said.
Why They'll Never Get It: Everything Nintendo in one all-star fighting game. The definitive multiplayer experience. Enough said.. Aside from that, HD gamers would wet their pants to have this on their Xbox or Playstation consoles.
