7 Reasons Your Blog Reader's Don't like You

Have you noticed your blog subscriber numbers taking a plunge? Or how about the lack of comments being left? Have you ever considered that your readers just don't like you? Well that may be a little harsh, but I am going to tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. So here are 7 reasons why your blog readers may not like you:

You are trying to push other people's work. To be a good blogger you have to be authentic with everything that you are writing and sharing with your readers. Your readers don't like copycats and they will let you know too. Once you lose the respect of your readers it is hard if not impossible to gain it back.

Your readers don't trust you yet. Trust is something that comes with time and patience. Your readers are not just going to believe everything that you say from rip because they don't know you from a hole in the wall. So you have to build your reader's trust in you by proving your value to them.

People have never heard of you. Blog readers flock to blogs owned by reputable people that already have Internet reputations. As for everybody else, there is work that needs to be done. Did you know that a lot of people will do a Google Search on your name before they even consider reading your content?

You are not sharing content that your readers want to read. When blogging you can't just write about a whole bunch of stuff that you want to without taking into consideration what your readers want to read. Now it's okay to pick a niche that you like but it is important that you cover topics that other people want to know about within your niche.

You are not speaking in their language. Before you write any blog post you have to consider who your audience is. You have to make sure you are using words that your readers can both understand and relate to. This does not mean make your readers feel dumb, just keep things simple.

You are not holding their interest. We all have short attention spans, and it can take some work to keep us interested. But for the sake of your blog you have to find creative ways to keep your readers interested in what you have to say.

You are just like everybody else. People like to read fresh content from a different perspective than everybody else on the Internet. Content on the Internet gets so watered down because people recycle information rather than making it unique.
