7 Steps to a Memorable Easter for Your Little Girl

Things to Do for Your Princess..

1) The shopping trip

As with any special occasion, there has to be preparation. A few days before Easter, take her to the mall to pick out an Easter dress. Get the frilliest dress she will allow, with shoes to match. The day before Easter, stop by the beauty salon to get her nails done and maybe even her hair styled.

If she's never had her nails done, get ready for the biggest smile you've ever seen! Don't let that tomboy tell you she doesn't care about that silly frilly stuff. Every little girl and even big girls dream of being the center of attention and being told they are beautiful.

Stop by the bookstore before you head home to get her a book about Easter. The bookstore is a great place to take curious children any time of the year. It's more fun when your child is on an adventure, searching for the right book on a particular subject. In this case, it's about Easter.

2) The true meaning of Easter

The night before Easter, read her that Easter book she picked out at the bookstore. That way she'll know Easter is not just about pretty dresses and Easter eggs.

3) Basket full of surprises

The morning of Easter, wake her with a basket of Easter goodies. Pre-made baskets with Easter goodness can be purchased or you can make your own. If you make your own, you can fill it with things you know she will like. Top it off with a big floppy bow and it will be a hit!

4) Easter morning

Of course, all that you've done will be pointless without a church to attend on Easter Sunday. If you don't attend church regularly, that's no problem; there are churches everywhere nowadays. Ask family or friends what church they attend.

As soon as your little angel walks through the church door, heads will turn toward your little girl. Now, aren't you glad you went to church? People will tell her how beautiful she is and how they love her colorful, frilly dress.

Every little girl needs a regular confidence booster. If for no other reason than to lessen some of the negative effects a school environment can have on your child.

5) Easter egg hunt

Some churches have easter eggs hunts for the kids. That would be icing on the cake! Be sure to take a video camera for the hunt because this is one Easter your daughter will want to look back on when she has her own children.

6) The Easter feast

What Easter is complete without dinner with the family? These times we live in are so hurried that some of us have lost touch with our families. Easter is a great reason to gather the family around the table.

7) At days end

When your princess is snuggled in her bed, smiling at you for all the things you did to make this Easter so special, you'll know it was worth doing. Give her a good night kiss and tell her how much you love her. When you think about it, love is at the heart of why Easter even exists.

You can bet when she has her own children, she'll cherish Easter and all that it means.
