7 Things You Shouldn't Do with an Infant

C.B. Jones
- Never dress your kid as Hancock for Halloween. Okay sure, hobo baby seems like a cute idea at first. Sometime down the road it could become a messed up case of irony. Worst case scenario: he develops powers and gets beat up by a stronger hero, then gets a truck thrown at him. That truck signifies his inability to star in movies with good scripts.

- Never use an infant as a tool for exercising a demon.

- Never harness him/her to a tether ball poll and propel him/her around it with the help of a whiffle bat. I shouldn't have to explain why this is a bad idea. I also shouldn't have to explain why inviting drunken friends over to play toddler ball is not a good idea either.

- You shouldn't make an infant the designated driver.

- Never challenge him/her to a drinking contest. Trust me on this one. Do not allow the kid's appearance to deceive you. Baby's can drink even the manliest of men under a table.

- You shouldn't stick a magnet in his/her mouth and have them crawl around on the floor, looking for your car keys.

- You shouldn't gather a group of infants, and rig up a human Foosball table.

That magnet-in-the-mouth idea is GENIUS, dude! Why didn't I ever think of that when my kids were infants?!

Actually, my 14-week-old is a damn good driver, and means I can have more than one lonely pint. Only problem is that she gets tired really easily and can fall asleep at the wheel.
