7 Things Worth Keeping as We Bid 2008 Adieu and Usher 2009 In

Tussy
As the year 2008 draw to a close, there are things which we should not toss and discard as we usher in 2009. Instead, we have to take some old things worth keeping, with us, to the next year and even beyond. Here are 7 things worth keeping, hence, you should remember to:

1. Keep your many interest.

Your many interest will keep you constantly occupied and will not make you idle. It may make you a "jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none" but it will keep you busy and never idle. As the saying goes, an idle mind is the devil's workshop, or something like that...

2. Keep your positive outlook.

Your positive outlook will give you the energy to accomplish great things and achieve and be more than you could ever become without it.

3. Keep your determination.

Your determination will give you the ability to meet your goals and succeed in whatever you set out to do in this life.

4. Keep your sense of excitement.

Your sense of excitement will allow you to have fun while doing what you must get done in whatever it is that you do.

5. Keep your sense of humor.

Your sense of humor will allow you not to take yourself seriously and enable you to laugh at your mistakes, as you learn from them. You grow up the day you first learn to laugh at yourself, or so they say...

6. Keep your confidence.

Your confidence in yourself, and in what you are capable of doing, will allow you to take risks, and not be afraid of failure.

7. Keep your sensitivity.

Your sensitivity will help you to touch base with your humanity, it will help you understand and do something about the injustices in the world, starting with those around you.

Now, the foregoing presupposes that you have those 7 things worth keeping in your "possession" already. Just in case you have yet to "acquire" the afore cited, it is never too late to get those for 2009 and refuse to discard them comes 2010.

As we usher in 2009 and hope for the best, while we try to do our best, let us all pray for strength, so as to be able to grow in love of self, love of fellow men, and love of the Supreme Being, who hold all our destinies in His hands.
