1. You share a ministry.
Does a local church work in conjunction with your group in ministry? Open up your heart and donate. Keep this entity going since you already know their purpose, work and cause.
2. You attend the church.
This one is a no-brainer. You should give church money if you attend its services. What you put in the offering plate keeps the lights on, building heated and ministers on board.
3. The church helped you.
Free of drugs because of a local church? Then, give a portion of your paycheck to them. Your actions not only show gratitude and that you are thankful for the help, they also open doors for other people who are in need like you were.
4. You need a tax deduction.
If you need a tax deduction, donate money to a church. You can use your gift as a write-off and get the satisfaction of backing up a part of your community that works with all kinds of people, especially the disenfranchised. Although you're not the one actually doing the work, you are inadvertently holding out your hand to pull up another person.
5. You believe in their mission.
Want to get behind a specific type of charity or community focus? If so, give a church money that represents what your beliefs. Many urban churches help lower crime and offer young people a way to have fun without getting into trouble. Gambling on their works often improves the quality of society.
6. They help your community.
A church that helps your community like offering free after-school services is worthy of your dime. Without their services, your neighborhood wouldn't be the same. In this case, you need to at least visit them at Christmas and drop off a large monetary present. Remember them because they always remember you.
7. Your conscious tells you to.
Your conscious often alerts you to what you should and shouldn't do. If yours is prompting you to give a church money, do so. Your actions will not only make you feel good, but relieve that aching feeling you have at night when you lay in bed.
These are 7 good reasons you should give a church money. Think of them when you're sitting in a pew and want to hold on to that extra dollar.
