7 Ways to Keep an Internet Romance Last

Internet Dating is Basically the Same Thing to a Real Life Just on a Different Medium.

If you're the man whose fashion sense is like that of the Flintstones', you don't know you're living in an advanced society when technology is steadily replacing good old-fashioned way of living, and if not, you already knew something about internet romance. Since the largest part of our world's population has easy access to a computer and a net connection, a new world of possibilities opens up, presenting new opportunities and areas to conquer and most importantly as another means of searching for a partner.

"Hyper-personal Effect of Communicating Online"

-we tend to be more honest, more intimate.

-communicating by typing gives people time to construct their responses.

-it also frees them from worrying about how they look and sound so they can focus exclusively on what they are saying without typical visual sues of facial expressions and mannerisms.

-it is certainly easy to lie online, it turns out it is even easier to tell the truth.

Out of the millions of people searching, you've found someone whom you think is right for you. The next obstacle you have to overcome goes with the question, how long can an internet romance last anyway?

We live in a society that pretty much scorns internet romance until now. No matter how liberated people profess to be, they would still think that an internet romance is unnatural. The magical scenario would have two people without the barrier of physical appearance, race or age boundaries sharing thoughts and feelings, intimate feelings. If that isn't pure then, I wonder what is.

If you're caught in the middle of virtual love, here are a few suggestions to keep the romance alive:

1. Consider a more honest interaction with your virtual partner. But don't forget to have reservations so to protect your privacy if something goes wrong in the future.

2. Try to respect and give up total control over your partner's interest. Get to know him better and be flexible. Through this you'll surely gain respect from him.

3. Schedule online dates. Urging your partner to praise your relationship every minute of all days is annoying. Suggest a date once or twice a week and if he agrees, be creative. Know how to inspire your man or woman.

4. Have photos taken regularly and exchange them with your partner's.

5. Make changes with your routines, instead of having a long dialogue, play net games together, or introduce a new site of his interest and surf it together.

6. Have intimate discussions. Talk about each personal lifestyle, share about oneself and exchange family stories.

7. Real-life relationships require show ups to let feel love to your partner. Virtual-life relationships can be as akin to real-life relationships, but one each person involved is more likely required to let the other know what love in them is. Tell a beloved how much you love him or her through surprise letters or e-mails. Mean your words because every message matters.

Internet dating is basically the same thing to a real life just on a different medium. Just like in the world of regular relationship, internet romances end. Naturally, it's a difficult affair to keep, and how long your own relationship would last is a question for yourself alone.

Internet dating is a wonderful way to meet people from other countries and cultures, but you have to be careful not to communicate with someone that is already married. With the new technology comes challenges. :)

I love the picture, too! I think you must be a very nice person to think of writing this. Thanks a lot. I definitely had romantic feelings toward women on the Internet. Lots of challenges..one day she said, "Well, I'm getting married." Isn't it funny how sad feelings do not depend on the medium?
