Being in a relationship has it's advantages but being single has it's advantages as well. You'll find that most People who dwell on the disadvantages of being single are generally more depressed about their single status or at least unhappy about it. You Can Eat What YOU Want

Ladies. How many times did you cook steak when you would have rather had chicken? Guys. How many times did you make a salad with your steak and mashed potatoes dinner that you didn't really want? You want to be a health nut and cut out red meat in your home? You can do it when you're single. You want to do the Atkins diet and live on meat and cheese only? You can do it with ease when you're single. Get it? You don't have to cook for anyone but YOU.

You Can Spend Your Money However You Please

That's right. Ladies, if you want to spend a bunch of money on clothes or at the movies watching some sappy chick flick, you can, and no one will roll their eyes or give you any grief. Guys, if you spend $70 on a video game or $500 on a weekend at a NASCAR race, no one will telling you how much you are wasting your money. Both of you will also notice soon that you suddenly have more money available. For guys, it's pretty obvious but the ladies will notice it too and wonder how this is happening.

You Can Watch What YOU Want To On TV

I know this sounds like a little thing but think about it. Ladies, how often did your last boyfriend sit down and watch the Lifetime channel or Oprah with you? Now you can watch all that woman stuff to your heart's content. Guys, did you ever watch Family Guy, South Park, UFC, or women jumping on trampolines with your lady snuggled in your arms? Now you can watch all that stuff with no comments about your immature behavior from a woman. Let's not forget about Internet porn either.

No One To Make Comments About Your Money Issues

Guys. If you spent all your money on party supplies, video games, or nights out with your buddies and the money is a bit lean for the month. That's YOUR problem. No one is there to criticize you for that. If you have to live on hot dogs and a loafs of bread for a month, you are the ONLY one who will suffer for that. Ladies. If you spent too much money for the month with your manicure, your massage and that new outfit, there will be no man griping about picking up the slack for the the month.

You Now Have The Opportunity To Get To Know Yourself

Yeah, I know. "What the hell does that mean?" Well I'll tell you. This is looking at yourself through the eyes of others. Think about your pattern of behavior. Do you complain a lot or do you just get to work on solving the problem? Do you easily get distracted or do you zero in and concentrate on things. I don't care how perfect you think you are. There is ALWAYS room for improvement in EVERYONE.

You Can Take A Trip To Where YOU Want To Go

You know how it was. HE wanted to go camping. You didn't have a miserable time, it was actually more fun that you thought it would be but you would have rather gone to the beach. Well NOW you can head out to the beach. Where you go for a weekend getaway is YOUR decision and yours alone. Remember? The two of you went to Vegas for the weekend. YOU wanted to go see "The Amazing Johnathan" but SHE insisted on going to see "Celine Dion". Well now you can go see Johnathan, you can go to a strip club, you can go anywhere you want and no one will pressure you into doing something you don't really want to do.

You Can Take Up Some Hobbies Or Learn To Do Something

That's right. You can learn to play guitar. You can learn to speak French and you will get no comments or criticism from your man or your woman. You can learn to do something or take up any hobby you want. Who knows, the next time your ex sees you, you may be playing guitar in a gigging rock band or speaking fluent French. Now get to it.

You Can Go Shopping Without Dead Weight

Ladies. If you've ever taken a man you're with clothes shopping with you, you know what I mean. He spent the whole time rolling his eyes and sighing didn't he? Well now you can spend as much time as you desire trying on different clothes and hopping from store to store. Guys. Did you ever take one of your girlfriends into a sporting goods store or a guitar store? You look over at her while you're checking out guns or a guitar and she's sitting there looking up and sighing. After about ten minutes she says, "Can we go now" or she says, "I'll wait in the car". And you know if you're not out there in that car with her in about five minutes there will be hell to pay. Well now you can spend HOURS if you please checking out guitars or guns and no one is there trying to rush you along.

Now see? Being single isn't that bad is it? So tonight when you're in bed alone and wishing you had someone to hold or snuggle up to, think about what you're going to do tomorrow. Or, make plans to take up a hobby, go shopping, take a weekend getaway, cook yourself a dinner of your choice, or spend a lot of money on something stupid. Then, it won't seem that lonely in that big bed all alone.
