8 Great, Inexpensive Holiday Gifts for Your Co-Workers

Paula Myers
Christmas comes around just once a year. You want to get your co-workers something to show your appreciation. You're concerned you can't afford it, because you're having to buy presents for a lot of people. Don't worry any longer. It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Here are some great ideas for Christmas Gifts for your co-workers that are within your budget.

Christmas Cup
A Christmas cup is a really nice gift that you can get for a co-worker. You can go to Dollar Tree or Dollar General and buy them for $1.00 all day long. Be sure to fill the cup up with something the person would enjoy. Hot chocolate or tea is a nice thing to give. You can pack the cup full of hard candies, chocolate Christmas candy, or candy canes. Be sure to attach a ribbon and nice note to the cup.

Homemade Candy
Homemade candy is a great gift to give. It is very thoughtful. I have received some very good homemade candy in the past. Be sure to put it in some kind of bowl or box and wrap it so it won't get damaged.

Something They Collect
Find something that your co-worker has a collection of. If she collects fairies, buy her a fairy. If owls are her thing, buy her an owl. Your co-worker will really enjoy this gift.

Candles
Everybody likes candles. Be sure to stay away from the really strong scents. At Christmas, you can find vanilla, sugar cookie, mulberry, evergreen, cinnamon, and other wonderful smelling candles. You can buy one large candle or several smaller candles for a nice present to give. Either use a small gift bag or basket to put your gift in. Any co-worker will love this.

Lotion
Everybody likes lotion. Dollar Tree has some really nice speciality lotions for only $1.00. Buy two or three different scents and put in a gift bag. This is a very inexpensive present.

Stationary
Stationary is a nice present for a co-worker. It is something that they would probably not buy for themselves. Make sure you wrap it up pretty and put a bow on it.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are always nice to give to someone. I've gotten several from restaurants, grocery stores, and department stores. A lot of times, a person has never been to that particular restaurant or store and is very excited about getting the gift certificate.

Gift Baskets
Dollar Tree has some of the best selection for presents. They have anything from lotion, candles, figurines, stationary, candy, dishes, etc.. that you could use for gifts. Their inventory is always changing too. Be sure to visit them at least once a week.

You can spend anywhere from $1.00 to $3.00 on a nice gift for your co-worker this year . It doesn't have to cost a fortune. Be creative. Use some of these ideas that I've listed. Don't sweat over the small stuff this year. Have a Merry Christmas!

Great ideas! Some of these are also great ideas for your child's teacher. We always go to the dollar store every year and give our kids teachers coffee mugs filled with candy.

Excellent ideas, except the restaurant gift certificate. I have given fast food ones to my son~mailing packages east, I always look for light weight or order online to be delivered~but would feel cheap giving a co-worker $3.00 worth of those. I have also found bowls or food storage containers at dollar stores and wrapped them filled with homebaked cookies, when needing gifts for a lot of co-workers.
