8 Guest Judges I Would like to See on American Idol

American Idol has been the most successful prime time television show according to Nielsen's rating service. In March of 2010 except for the Oscars, American Idol was the most watched show.

I for one watch it every week. But I am getting bored with the judges so would like to see some different judges to shake it up a little.

Shania Twain

ShaniaTwain is a Canadian Country singer who was a guest judge on the auditions and I think she adds a lot to help singers get to the next level. Her third album Come on Over is the best selling album of all time for a female singer. She has sold 65 million albums on very few releases. She would add some real expertise to the panel. Not to mention she is drop dead gorgeous.

Donald Trump

Although no real musical background he operates entertainment companies and casinos worldwide and has a flair for picking good talent. As a matter of fact he has a realty program that is designed to pick good management from several choices. He also would be an excellent choice to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol next season.

Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis has appeared in over 60 movies and is the seventh biggest box office draw among Hollywood actors. His movies have all been financially successful. Bruce has also released records and has a good singing voice. This would be excellent for American Idol because it would add a different perspective to the panel. Not to mention he is a tough guy.

Shaquille O'Neal

Basketball great Shaquille O'Neal, better known as Shaq, is an African American and has recorded several rap albums. Now I am not an aficionado of this genre of music but I think Shaq could have a positive influence on the black contestants and the panel as well. He is also really funny.

Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah the famous actress and singer would be a great guest judge because of her success in music as well as acting. She would have a good amount of information to help guide the young talent on American Idol. She is also funny and would be a great addition with Ellen DeGeneris who is also a judge.

Madonna

Madonna would be a great guest judge for American Idol. She has had a huge musical singing career, which she has managed and kept herself current. This would make excellent information and vision for the contestants. American Idol would never be the same.

Sir Elton John

Sir Elton John has been a singer whose career has expanded four decades. He has been hugely successful and well respected in the music industry. He could also help with costumes as well. Good guest judge material.

Ryan Seacrest

I am not kidding. I think it would be good for the host of American Idol to sit in a judges chair as guest judge one night. I think because of his unique perspective he could lend some great advise to these young singers.
