8 Reasons Leona Lewis is Amazing

She sings well.

Duh, that's common sense! Or, maybe not. Plenty of people suck at singing, they just know how to market themselves. Leona Lewis hits notes.

She sings well live.

Ok, this one isn't common sense. Have you ever been to a live concert? A lot of artists sound great on the CD, but when you go listen to them live their voice cracks all over the place and they're sweating like fat kids in the summer sun. Leona Lewis is one of the best live singers I've heard. Check this performance out. Bleeding Love

She wrote her first song at age 12.

I don't know about you, but I think I was still playing with dirt and burning ants with a magnifying glass.

She was mentored by Simon Cowell.

You know, the guy who hates everyone on earth? Except for Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis. Yea, that's him.

She made #1 on Billboard 200.

With her debut album Spirit, which was released on April 8, 2008, she now has rights to be mentioned in the same sentence along with REM, Michael Bolton (yes, he made #1 at one point in time), Pearl Jam, Whitney Houston, and Led Zepplin.

Leona's debut single A Moment Like This broke a world record when it was downloaded 50,000 times in its first half hour of online release.

Enough said. I want that many page views.

Her song Bleeding Love hit the top spot in 27 countries.

As you can tell, the world needs more love.

She's British

I love that accent.

Well, there you have it. She's one of the most underrated singers currently, and I hope she develops into more of a known star sometime in the near future.
