8 Signs that You Should Quit Your Job

Aren't too excited about your current job? Relax, you're not the only one! On the contrary, studies show that 2 of 3 employees are decided to quit their job. However, most of them keep working for the same company, despite their dissatisfaction. Experts in human resources say that this is one of the biggest mistakes we can do.

According to them, an employee who has no motivation doesn't bring any benefits to the company and will find a job much harder when he will decide to leave.

Here are 8 situations when resignation should be a reasonable solution:

1. Illness

If you are affected by stress, anxiety, depression or sleep disorders caused by work, then you should quit your job.

2. Values

You can work for a successful company and have an enviable career. But that shouldn't interfere between you and your values. If you believe that the company's products affect negatively the lives of others and the environment, then it's better to quit.

3. Motivation

There is no point to keep a job that doesn't motivate you emotionally.

4. No promotion

Should you wait for the "disappearance" of your superior in order to get a promotion? Then you better wait in another company until the "event" will take place.

5. Ignorance

Does your manager seem to be the incarnation of the sun, while you're a tiny planet lost in the Universe? Then, maybe you should do something. Otherwise, you might lose your self esteem entirely.

6. Worry

Your friends and family always tell you that "something is wrong with you" or that "you aren't the same since you have that new job". Well, it's hard to be objective regarding your own person. Maybe it would be better to listen to them, at least this time.

7. Problems

The company you work for has serious financial problems. I'm not telling you to quit, but if this is the only solution, then you should do it now.

8. Displeasure

Do you hate waking up every day thinking that you have to go to work? Well, then something it's wrong. Certainly there are only a few cases where employees love to go to work, but from small complaints to considerable inconveniences is a long way. If you feel that you can't go further anymore, sign your resignation!

Been there, done that; just make sure that you either have some money to live on in case you don't find another job right away.....better yet, make sure you have another job lined up before you quit, if possible. These days, in many areas, jobs are hard to find.

Good advice. It's better to quit a job than to get fired for expressing a bad attitude in your work habits.

Sometimes I feel this way, but I am afraid I don't have the luxury of "quitting" my job. Excellent piece!

    Good logic.
