8 Tea Party Favor Ideas for Ladies

Pam Gaulin
When the ladies are coming to tea, you want to be ready with fancy and elegant tea party favors. A tea party can be a novel excuse for ladies to spend a quiet afternoon together, without significant others and children in tow. The tea party can be the event, or a birthday party, retirement party, baby shower or bridal shower may all be held using a tea party theme. Be sure to treat the ladies at the tea party right, with these relatively inexpensive party favors.

8 Tea Party Favors for Ladies

Tea Sampler

Create small tea sampler bags for guests. Purchase five to 10 boxes of flavored and hard-bodied teas. Mix and match the varieties and package them in shiny organza bags. Using glittery tissue paper and a ribbon will also work as a way to wrap and present the tea party favors to the lady guests.

Feather Fans

Feather fans are whimsical and oh-so-ladylike. You can purchase blue feather fans from Gardenpartyteas.com. Local party supply stores may also have inexpensive fans which you can adorn with white or blue feathers.

Wooden Bee Honey Dipper

A wooden bee honey dipper is a useful party favor that your tea party guests will use again and again, and it will not be relegated to the bottom of a kitchen drawer.

Linen Napkins, to Keep

If you are handy with embroidering, or know someone who is, purchase some fabric remnants or discontinued fabric napkins from the local discount store and have the guests' names embroidered onto the napkins. The napkins can serve as place cards and as favors fro the ladies at the tea party.

Linen Sachet Bags

A linen sachet bag is where a proper lady stores her gloves. These favor bags are old-fashioned yet could be adapted to today's modern world. They are large enough to hold a cell phone, some keys and a compact for powdering noses.

Shortbread Treats

Make or buy shortbread cookies in different shapes. Repackage the cookies in bags with one to three cookies. Tie off each bag with a lace ribbon.

Bamboo Tea Infuser

A bamboo tea infuser is a natural tea party favor that can also be used as a place card, when you add the guest's names to an attached tag. The bamboo tea infusers retail for $1.95 and may be purchased at ShopsStashTea.com

Vintage Tea Cups

If you enjoy shopping at yard sales and flea markets, you may have amassed a collection of mismatched and quaint tea cups. Non-collectible tea cups may be used as party favors for your tea party guests.
