Painting your own walls is one of the easiest tasks we can do. It can be very exciting especially when you are able to create new designs that would enhance the beauty of your home. Try painting your walls with a Pearlized painting style. With this style, you will be able to transform your walls to a new look you have never imagined and it will surely bring your home an atmosphere of comfort.

To obtain a dramatic and unique effect, follow these techniques:

Clean first the area by removing the old covering if there is any and measure the exact size of the surface you wanted to paint. Prepare all the necessary things including the paint brush, sponge and other things.

Choose different colors that you like. Some people prefer to have light colors but some would like to use darker colors but if you like you can choose a combination of both shades.

Think of the style, line designs and different shapes that you expect to see in your painted wall.

Apply random sizes of vertical strips on the surface to be painted using a latex paint. You can use a plumb line if working on the wall. Continue to draw the lines in different width, avoid repetition of strips and let it dry overnight.

The pearl effect of the paint will not look the same until it is spread out. To do this, spread an alternate horizontal light coat across the latex strips with varied size and width. When it's done, you can use your paint brush handle to create wavy lines or squiggles in the pearl paint.

Continue making the pearl paint until the base pearl coat becomes dry. A patch of coordinating pearl paint would emphasize the color of the base.

If you want to have more squiggles, use the tip of your brush until you obtain the desired effect. Just be creative. You can also try different shapes like circle, star, crescent and square designs.

Experiment by using combining colors, and make other designs instead of vertical and horizontal lines only.

After doing this, you can expect a real nice pearl effect in your walls that would improve the overall beauty of your home. This design is excellent with the bedroom walls, Living room and also in the dining room. It only depends on the color of your choice.
