There are many different ways to reduce the germs that can be found in your own household. We have listed a few below to get you started.
1. Make it a habit to remove your shoes upon entering the home. Walking around all day in so many places can really can use the germs to form. Just think about how many of those germs can be in that previously chewed piece of gum stuck to the sole of your shoe? When you walk around your house with those shoes on, you are spreading the germs to other surfaces like the rugs and carpets in the home.
2. Vacuums are a wonderful piece of equipment to have. Stop for a moment a visualize all the nasty things it picks up off your floor. Most of us do not change the bag unless it is full and those germs get to sit for a week or more growing bigger and stronger. Take the time after each vacuuming to wipe the exterior of the vacuum with a disinfecting wipe and spray the interior with the same type of product. Change you bag before it gets full and clean out all of the accessories where germs are more likely to hide unless you do not use a bag. This canister type will require a thorough washing with hot soapy water. Since the plastic is a nonporous surface, germs have an easy time sticking around. Without the proper amount of clean, the germs will go right back out into the environment where they were before.
3. It is an advisable for you to wipe all the faucets in your home with an antibacterial wipe on a regular basis. This applies especially to those who have children in the home. The dirt and germs carried by the hands is easily transferred to the sink. Once clean, give it a good covering of an antibacterial spray for good measure.
4. Germs are easily passed from the air droplets each time you flush the toilet. You can be contaminating your brushes, mouthwash, etc... If they are in close proximity to the toilet. Place these in a cabinet or under the sink to avoid the transfer.
5. Wipe and spray all handles each day with antibacterial spray to kill germs transferred from hands.
6. Open those windows to let the fresh air in and the germs out. Three hours each week you spend with your windows open will be a great relief for ridding you of the cramped feeling.
7. Air purifiers are the best for helping to trap the germs in a filter and thus, providing you clean air.
8. Have different forks and knives for the meat that is uncooked and the one that is cooked. If the uncooked meat was brought on a plate, use a clean one to bring the cooked meat to the table. Use an antibacterial agent on your counters daily.
