8 UFL Players that NFL and College Football Fans Will Recognize

Lee Andrew Henderson
The United Football League will make its debut this year. Nobody expects the UFL to get huge ratings but there are some people that enjoy watching football no matter what kind of football it is. There are a few players on each UFL team that have some major college or professional UFL experience. Here is a rundown of some of the UFL players that you might be familiar with.

Tatum Bell, Florida Tuskers
Tatum Bell was a very good running back at Oklahoma State University. Bell started three seasons and rushed for 3.409 yards. From there Tatum Bell played with the Denver Broncos from 2004 to 2006 and then again in 2008. Now Tatum Bell has joined the UFL as a member of the Florida Tuskers.

Brooks Bollinger, Florida Tuskers
Brooks Bollinger was a four year starter at Wisconsin and led the Badgers to the Rose Bowl in his freshmen season. Bollinger was drafted but spent most of his time as a third string Quarterback. Bollinger did get to play for a little while when the Jets' first and second string quarterbacks got injured. Bollinger also had short stints with the Vikings and Cowboys before joining the Florida Tuskers of the UFL.

JP Losman, Las Vegas Locomotives
JP Losman is most known for being the butt of many jokes due to his very accurate name of Losman (get it? Loss man). I'm not sure it was all his fault though. What quarterback would win games for the Buffalo Bills? JP Losman is the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Locomotives in the UFL.

Michael Pittman, Florida Tuskers
Michael Pittman was an important part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002 to 2007 including the team that won the Super Bowl. Pittman's career high in rushing was 926 yards and he ran for 124 yards in Super Bowl XXXVII. Pittman will now play for the Florida Tuskers in the UFL.

Tim Rattay, Las Vegas Locomotives
In college Tim Rattay racked up a lot of passing yards at Louisiana Tech and holds the NCAA record for most passing yards per game in a season. Tim Rattay bounced around the NFL as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Locomotives before joining the Las Vegas Locomotives in the UFL.

Simeon Rice, New York Sentinels
In college Simeon Rice was a monster and broke the Big Ten career sacks record as a member of the Illinois Fighting Illini. Rice's NFL career got off to a good start by getting 12.5 sacks as a rookie in Arizona and winning a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay. After that Simeon Rice got injured, complained about playing time and money and eventually wound up in the UFL playing for the New York Sentinels.

Koren Robinson, New York Sentinels
Koren Robinson was a very talented receiver but due to violating the NFL's substance abuse policy he was released by one team and then lost another job when he was suspended for a year. Robinson returned to the NFL was out of a job soon after because of a knee injury. Koren Robinson will now play in the UFL as a member of the New York Sentinels.

Labrandon Toefield, New York Sentinels
Labrandon Toefield was a good running back at LSU. Toefield was the starting running back for most of the Nick Saban era. Toefield was later drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars and was expected to take over Fred Taylor's job but Maurice Jones Drew ended up with the job instead.

Losman is actually a very good QB out of Tulane. It's just he's always been in a bad situation or system once he entered the NFL.
