1. Appeal to your reader's senses. Regardless of what you are writing there are thousands of ways that you can appeal to the senses of your readers. If you are writing about food talk about the taste, or if you are talking about losing weight talk about how the person will look and feel. These are just some examples, but I think you get what I am saying. Make
2. Build your reader's curiosity. A headline that makes your reader's curious will get you that initial click and from there it is your content that has to keep them interested. Your headline is like fish bait, you want it to be so appetizing that your reader's can't resist it...and then they are hooked!
3. Use as many descriptive words as you can. Now you definitely want to keep your headlines short, but you want to also make room for descriptive words. Descriptive words are very appealing to the readers and it usually helps you to appeal to their senses. Don't just say "Drive good blog traffic" say something more like "Drive STEAMY traffic that will set your blog on fire!"
4. Talk about the forbidden. People love to know about things that they are not supposed to. So if you are telling them that you are going to share something that forbidden, a secret, things nobody is suppose to know about, etc. you are going to get tons of traffic because everybody is going to be curious as to what you are talking about.
5. Use numbers and lists. People particularly like monetary numbers, so if you are going to talk about money then tell them exactly how much money you are talking about. Something else people like is when you create lists for them. By creating a list of some sort you are letting your readers know that you are about to give them a list of solutions for whatever they need help with or are looking for.
6. Get into a regular habit of including keywords. Keywords are essential for gaining traffic through the search engines, which I am sure you probably already know.So this is only good to use when you are creating online content,of course.
7. Mention something popular. If you mention something popular such as a popular social network, expert in your niche, topics in the news, celebrities, etc. you are going to get a lot of traffic. In a way this can be looked at as piggy backing off of someone else's traffic, but it works. Mention something popular that is already getting traffic and you are good to go.
8. Talk about what you don't like. A headline that talks about something that you don't like spells out DRAMA. And a lot of your readers would be very interested in hearing about your drama. For example, let's say you don't like a particular product or brand you could write something "Let Me Tell You Why (product or brand) Will Never Get My Money Again!" Your readers are going to flock to see what's wrong with that product or brand.
