8 Ways to Get Some Quick Cash

L. Swythe
Life happens and for whatever reason you have find yourself in dire need of some quick cash. But, where are you going to get it? You are broke and your next paycheck is already spoken for. First thing you want to do is try and relax, I know it's not easy when you are knee deep in it and broke as a joke. But, you are going to have to chill out so you can think clearly. If you need to or can't help it, go ahead and flip out for a few minutes and then regain your composure. Now start thinking of how to rectify the situation. There are options for you believe it or not, look at the list below to get you started and then maybe you can come up with additional ways of your own.

Have a Yard Sale- Get rid of the clutter in your house and make money at the same time. Check on your local ordinances beforehand, you may need a permit and there may be limits on how many yard sales in a month you can hold. If not then have multiple sales a month.

Blood or Plasma-Yes, you can earn money by selling your blood and/or plasma and help those in need at the same time. Depending on the regulations of the local blood bank you may be able to do this a several times a week, with the average payout being around $20-$30 per visit.

Old Jewelry -if you want to just get rid of it, take it to a reputable company that buys gold and silver, typically you will get more for it especially if the price of gold and silver are up. If you want the option of retrieving the jewelry then you will only want to go to a pawn shop where you may not get as what you think it is worth or what you need.

Auto Pawn Companies-If you have a car, boat or four-wheeler sitting idle you can pawn them for fast cash. You will want to check on all of the details, like the interest rate, length of repayment and forfeiture policies. In most cases the vehicles or boats have to have a clean title (lien free, paid in full) again, check with the company on their requirements.

401K- Unless you have no other recourse, I would not tap into the 401K. Let's say you have no other option and your company's policy allows for a loan, it can take up to 2 weeks sometimes and the penalties can be steep. So make sure you check into all of details.

Credit Union or Signature Loan- Depending on the economic situation and your credit score, you could qualify for a small signature loan within a day or two and typically at a good interest rate with low monthly payments.

Finance Companies-Small advance payday type loan companies are everywhere now days and if you have a job and a checking account you should qualify on the spot. Of course the interest rate and penalties are quite high in most cases so be careful and call around.

Borrow money from family or friends-This is a last resort of course, many people don't like this idea and for the most part I don't either. But, if you are in a bind and the amount isn't too steep then go for it. I would suggest giving something of equal value as collateral to make them feel a little more at ease with the situation and you may want to give or it may be requested of you to give them something in writing as well.
